Worst thing that ever happened to Dorsey in the NFL is they tried to make him a 3-4 end.
I agree, that's why I was surprised he went to Frisco.
I think he's better in the B gap in a 4-3.

Gerald Willis apparently wants to be a DE, doesn't this basically establish that he wants to play in a 3-4 scheme?

Not at all. He wants to be a rushing DE. That basically excludes the 3-4

Gerald Willis reminds me a lot of Sam Montgomery, he's a outstanding pass rusher and a good run stopper also. I truly belive Coach Brick will play him at def end unless he grows out of that position. The kid has a unbelievable motor on the end, trust me LSU fans this kid is the truth. I think he will go down as one of the greats at LSU if he commits here.

Willis will add at least 15lbs in hi freshman year. That would put him at around 280 lbs. I'm sure he will get his shot at DE, but if he isn't as quick as the other DEs then he will need to move inside in order to contribute to the team.

Not all players gain weight. Some lose weight to get in better shape and gain more speed.

For example. Melvin Jones weighed 270 last year. Now he weighs 245

It is my opinion that Willis wants to be the next Clowney and for that he needs to play DE. He can put on 25 lbs and still be in Clowney mold...

Also, if he cant get his weight to 300 range he will not make the DT slot.

Or he might stay at the exact same weight. His frame looks to be built for 260. The kid will probably lose his fair share in summer workouts. I think he becomes leaner and runs around 265 maybe 270

If Willis was interested in a 3-4 defense, his highest interest teams would run them. They do not.

I think it's pretty clear he's going to be a DT. He's slow on film and has plenty of room to grow into a muscular DT. Don't get me wrong, Willis is a beast but I don't see a lot of burst from him off the line at DE. He seems kinda slow to me. Which further proves he'll probably be a DT and a damn good one.

Man u sound stupid he has one of the fastest first steps of the line than any def end in the country. Why you think every school in the country wants him, go study your film dude.

No.. he's in the mold of a Lavar Edwards coming out of HS, IMO.. maybe a little smaller at this point.

Edwards had the ability to cut weight and remain on the outside, or add good weight and move inside. Our staff chose the former and it paid dividends.

Not knocking him. He's dominant on film but I just don't see the DE burst. He looks more like a power guy to me and that's probably why a lot project him to slip inside. He'll be muscular and quick for a DT.

Come out to Algiers and see him live and in person. Maybe if you would have attended the state championship game or saw it on tv you probably would have seen how explosive GW is coming off the edge. If you're still not sure, just contact those offensive tackles for Neville. I'm more than sure they'll let you know.

Im hearing the same thing, from what I heard Bama has him number one on there board for Def end, Nick Saban told him personally he needs pass rushing Defensive end and he told GW they don't want him they need him to help fill the void. Now how much intrest Big Gee has to go to Bama I don't know
