I'm pretty sure Buffalo plays a 4-3 and Dareus was listed as drafted as a DT, not NT on the draft site.

Bama DE's can translate into NFL DT's just like our DE's can be OLB's in the NFL.

ETA: i see you said they were 3-4 when he was drafted.
