Who actually beat up on us in head to head competition?
I can think of more damage done by guys we did sign than those we did not, Ryan Perrilloux comes to mind.
I will take class and character any day over 'perceived talent'

Check the early late 80s through the mid 90's. How about Anthony Thomas, Minor, Dunn, Stonebreaker....
All were studs in college FB at a time when LSU couldn't compete.

Marshall Faulk, Reggie Wayne,either Manning,etc.
We had some good years and some baaaaad years in the 90's. I don't think we could have bought a recruit out of the New Orleans area back then.
