I would agree with you if not for the excessive number of open receivers that Brandon has just flat out missed over those three weeks, and 4 if you count this week. Don't get me wrong...sometimes defenders were in position, but many other times he just couldn't get the ball close to catchable.

Oh I agree. But then, shouldn't the coaches pull him and play Jennings? Maybe just for a series or two, you know just to clear his head. He couldn't have done much worse.

Truth is, the coaches do themselves no favors when it comes to the perception that they develop QBs poorly and the offensive system does the QBs no favors either (Air Coryell relies on low percentage, vertical passes).

If Franks really is pissed about UF going after more QBs, you guys can have him.

Pulled the same thing when LSU kept recruiting Patterson, so I would say it is most likely true.

They're all either redshirt freshmen or true sophomores. Are you serious with this shite? This post was edited on 12/1 at 9:05 pm

I'm sorry. But quite serious. BH is a sophomore. No one is making excuses for him. Are they expected to not play because they are sophomores? If you clicked on their names, many of are on the field, with stats. If I go to the 2013 class, it's no better. Not throwing shade. Just making a point, that fans get caught in the hype, then complain when the kid doesn't measure up. And more often than not, he doesn't. On the other hand we are astonished when an effective recruiter, who didn't let rivals do his job, gets it right.

Nobody will remember this crap a month after signing day, fight for every recruit possible, especially QB.. Doesn't matter that high schoolers are in their feelings, sign a LOI and we'll work the rest out later, USC & Ohio can give up on QB prospects not us lets be honest

Remember this...BH was ready to transfer because he wasn'
t given everything without earning it first... I was skeptical from then on...but I still hope he pans out...for all concerned...

That was his coach from what I recall, not him.

Anyway, Harris gave Miles the game ball and spoke for the team on Saturday and seems to have come a long way in the maturity department. Hopefully his quarterbacking matures too.

Georgia boards seem confident that Eason is staying a Bulldog

His HS coach says so

and his parents didn't go to UF with him

that Means Franks 100% stays at UF...plus Grier is gone...so we aint flipping Franks back.

No need to be sorry to me. You're the one with a silly argument.

With just enough experience in his true freshman year to burn his redshirt.

No, but QBs absolutely take longer to develop in any sort of system.

If you look at the top QBR in NCAA, there is one commonality: experience/maturity.

1. Redshirt Junior
2. Senior
3. True Sophomore - #1 Dual Threat
4. Redshirt Junior - #1 Dual Threat
5. Redshirt Senior
6. Senior
7. Senior
8. Redshirt Sophomore
9. True Sophomore with 4 starts as a freshman
10. Senior

Exactly...that's what I've been saying.

It's about getting on the field quicker. I know Harris hasn't been all world, but I see him being our QB from here on out and I think that's what Franks sees. Treon is even worse than Brandon. Franks isn't a "starter from day 1" type of guy. At Florida he may be....and that's awesome for LSU....we finna eat.

Im with you on Jennings should have gotten some snaps. But man. You want to see this site melt down?

Give the guy a break......he is making one of the most important decisions of his life on where to play ball for the next 4 years. Im sure he just wants to make sure he chooses the best school for him.

I agree. And I'm not surprised he's upset about Eason visting UF. And it doesn't mean he's afraid of competition. After all, Florida already had a commitment from a Texas QB when Franks committed. I'm sure they pitched him on the idea that he was going to be their top QB recruit, but now they're undoubtedly going to use the same line with Eason. Who can blame Franks for being upset? Let's hope it's enough to bring him back over to the good guys.

Danny Kanell was on his ESPN radio show earlier and discussed that a coach at a school he didn't name told both he and Weurfel that they were the number one guy they were after. The two of them had a conversation about it and, considering the coach slimy, signed elsewhere.

It had nothing to do with Franks, but it was an interesting conversation considering the timing.

Considering where those two ended up, it must have been the coach at Miami

Could be a sign of problems down the road. LSU might need to rethink Frank.

So if Eason follows Richt to Da U, then I think Franks will stick with UF. If so, then do we go after Haskins at Maryland? Not sure the connection there but if that coach isn't retained by DJ Durkin, then I would go all out for him. I don't think Shea Patterson is coming here. I don't think Franks is either.

I dont think either of our position is silly. I do think we are having a different conversations. My point is that, you cant get caught up in recruiting guys with the most "Stars", which LSU has been guilty of doing. Find a guy who fits your system. Using your list of the top QBR, you'll find that only one guy is a 4 star.

RK PLAYER YEAR STARS RAT
1 Seth Russell, QB Jr. 3 Star 189.7
2 Brandon Doughty, QB Sr. 3 Star 180.2
3 Vernon Adams Jr., QB Sr. Not Rated 179.6
4 Baker Mayfield, QB Jr. 3 Star 178.9
5 Matt Johnson, QB Sr. Not Rated 168.9
6 Kevin Hogan, QB Sr. 3 Star 168.6
7 Taylor Lamb, QB Soph 2 Star 167.4
8 Paxton Lynch, QB Jr. 2 Star 166.2
9 Brandon Allen, QB Sr. 3 Star 165.2
10 Deshaun Watson, QB Soph 4 Star 161.9

LINK

I could very easily go back to 2011 and pull the success rate of 4 and 5 star QBs. But your list helps me make my point. Stop worrying about chasing rankings. Find a guy that fits your system.
