Love this dude. He is forever a tiger and I'm so glad he didn't go to an SEC rival.

He can finally get that experience everyone says he has been lacking so that he may have a shot to take over when CLM leaves.

I hope it all works out and he turns out to be one heck of a head coach. We shall see now.

awesome coach, recruiter, and person. Good luck to him and wish him nothing but success. Hate to see him go but this was well deserved.

I also appreciate him doing this after early enrollment period.

I hurts to lose him, but one of the measuring sticks of a program is if that program provides opportunities for its members. And that includes coaches, sadly.

However, coaches that get experience elsewhere are able to bring that experience back home.

If Wilson is as good as we all say, he will do a bang-up job at UTSA, get needed head coaching experience, move up, and be more eligible to take the LSU job one day, when it comes open.

Ultimately, this is a good thing for LSU. Short term sting, no doubt. But we will get to work with someone new, and Wilson becomes a stronger coach. Opportunity is always a good thing.
