many say that he will be the next great DT, but I get the feeling he will stay at DE. He can tone up a bit and keep his weight around 270 and play DE.

Considering he ran a 4.6 at 270lbs...I'd like him to stay at DE where he probably can utilize that speed better.

I think there was an article a while back where he said that he wanted to play DE.

I don't think he really has an interest in DT.

He has too much speed and quickness not to be a DE...

Well, we desperately need a great pass rusher and he and Montgomery have the "it" factor. I've heard a lot of people were high on Montgomery last year and he was dominating the o-line in practice. The only reason he didn't play was because he needed to add weight to his frame. Ego is physically ready now.

With us getting Copeland...I think we'll be ok at DT for now. We'll slide Brockers in the middle too, which I hear the coaches are high on. I have no idea how a 6'6+ DT is going to do though. To me, that seems more like a 3-4 guy. I hope he can maintain leverage at that height...

That's what closed the deal with him... I'm pretty sure everyone else wanted him at DT...

I think all his final schools told him he could play de... Haleys persistence is what sold him.

I agree with the DE - in his vids - the way he was tracking down RBs who leaked outside to the flat was devestating

Brockers,Davenport, Ego
Mingo, Shepperd , Minter, Clemons/Baker/Maclin

Line them up in a 3-4 for a little change of pace/breather for starters. Ego would be perfect here!!
