Like we've said before, Houston is a more than legitimate contender here, and if he's talented and he works hard it won't matter where he attends college, he'll get to the next level without issue. Assuming injuries dont plague him.

injuries is the big thing. at Houston, he will be constantly double or triple teamed. plus, he will play almost every down. at LSU, it will be rare double team (playing next to Lawrence/alexander) and steady rotation.

This. Should be an easy decision for him

That's not how these kids think though. They are literally the man on their team. They are the most dominant players in their district state and region. They don't see themselves as needing a break in college. They believe they will continue to dominate. So Houston is basically playing this card saying you will be the man on our defense. The guaranteed starter and will log heavy minutes. It's enticing

But the way it is now with this staff in place and the material building up steadily, NC is a real possibility soon at LSU...not so at Houston...jmho

I agree with those saying him going to Houston isn't gonna hurt his draft stock if he plays well enough to have one. I do think playing at LSU and getting the coaching and competition he would get would better him as a prospect but if he's good, he's good and it won't matter where he went yo school. If he chooses to go to Houston with the close ties then so be it and I wish him luck. Only issue would be that his entire prospect status as a pro would be projection because he'd rarely face anyone on his talent level if he's as good as his rankings suggest. That's where going to a major school would benefit him.
