Something along these lines was in the works if the deseg order didnt get reversed.

Yep, and thats why you haven't seen Ponchy messed with. TPSB pretty much leaves Ponchatoula schools alone. They need us far more than we need them.

The IB program as a single entity is great but its a smokescreen to hide the overall failure of the school.

It grew by over 100% from last years numbers.

In addition to the IB program, the school is producing programs like Torbotics, nursing, engineering, sports medicine and pharmacy. Its giving kids real life look at what their college major could be. To just completely dismiss it is pretty stupid.

Almost as stupid as to leave out it's 50 kids in a school of over 1500.

I'm just telling you what I'm hearing. It's growing rapidly and appears to be a very successful program that is pulling kids away from the private school alternative. The number of kids with over a 30 on their ACT is dramatically increasing as well. I have family members that are educators at PHS and they have personally told me that PHS is changing, and not for the better. Ponchatoula's demographic will always allow it to be one of the best public schools in the parish. In terms of preparing a kid for higher education and challenging them, the IB program at Hammond High is the best option in the parish...and it's not close.

Hammond is the best option to prepare a kid for higher education in Tangi. I find that hard to believe.
Do you really think people are spending the extra money at STA just because they have a religion class included.
