That's wishful thinking.the last 4 guys on the least are the only realistic ones. Key, peters, and lewis are all long shots imo. One way to tell us all of them are oos guys who are already committed

Weathersby trending OM today for some reason. Still a month and a visit to win him. Also wonder if we are pushing for the Patrick Allen kid hard now as an OT.

I like Ferguson but curious why his offer list is so horrible. We need at least 1-2 aLBs in the class so I like it if we take him.

Phaz, good to see you're still around. Miss those days at ThaRinger. Loved that place.

We're real late to the Patrick Allen parade. Georgia or Tenn, I'd guess.

Weathersby is a position of need. I really hope we get him. If we get Donte Jackson and flip Dillon, we could finish this class very well.

Dunno but there was a controversial rumor on this board a while back that he was not invited back to Catholic this season over some off-field stuff.

I heard the same. This kid can grow into a nice lb. He has good instincts and awareness. He's a monster on special teams.

Seems like a stud special teams guy, and a role player.

Tennessee has been cutting hella fat off the roster. While they would have liked to have kept that DE (wish we would go after), they've been trying to cut down to sign another huge class.

And Guice seems to think that we just offered Ferguson.

So yea, it seems both are in fact SEC caliber players.

Because a recruit wants to play with his buddy, that makes him SEC caliber???
There is really no reason LSU should take both of those guys. Wish them nothing but the best, but they aren't what we need to finish this class up with.

I really don't understand why this kid doesn't have offers all over the south.

I agree with Duckie. His instincts alone should get him offers. He has good size for an OLB. He's not blazing fast, but he's a good looking athlete that takes good angles and has above average awareness. You notice a lot of hustle plays on film and hands up to bat balls when blocked on the rush outside.

On film he reminds me of a smaller version of Kelvin Sheppard.

I remember at the open camp for Core 6 last year, he was one of the kids that stood out.

I thought he was pretty high on Southern Miss, but who knows.

What makes you think Furgeson can't play at a high level?

Yes Duke was a late take, and a great take at that

The knock on Javahn is similar to McGinnis. They both have played a lot of DE but seem destined to play outside backer in college. Both great athletes, just questions on how they can move and play standing up, instead of hand down and rush the passer every down.

I may be wrong, but from what I understand, it had a lot to do with him wanting to play LB and Weiner wanting him to stay at defensive end. They banged heads over it a lot and decided it was best for him to move on.

Weiner felt that Javahn playing DE was best for the team, but Javhan felt that playing LB was best for his future. Both are probably true.

No.... The fact that we offered him makes him an SEC caliber player. If it's true we did offer him.

Are you under the impression that we offered him just because of Guice? Because if so, that's just dumb consideing Guice has been committed to us for a while now and always has been all LSU... Regardless if we offered Ferguson or not.
