Correct. Having said that, the kids in school says he's going to Bama. But again, I've not heard him say he's committed to anyone.

I'd like to see Devin in better shape as well, but don't forget his situation. He plays very actively BOTH ways and on many special teams EVERY game. In addition, he gets his rushing yards the hard way, running between the tackles, often dragging 2-4 defenders w/ him. There have been times that many observers would think he's tired when he's actually just very nervous and hyped up.

What I've heard all along is that Devin will not consider any program that will not give him the opportunity to play on either side. He's a very special running back, but personally I think at the college level he'll be a better LB. OTOH, he could take a late growth spurt and outgrow either position. This fall he was 6' 1 1'2" and 235#, having put on 10# from last year. OTOH, his dad is 6" 6".

Some kids just love different programs. Collins led coaches on. If this kid is telling everyone he is going to Bama now, he is doing LSU a favor.

If he wants to go to Bama, that's his choice; if he is telling folks he wants to play at Bama, our coaches will have lots of time to plan accordingly.

I get that you are probably have first hand experience around this kid, but let's hold back at trashing him on this board. A lot can happen in a year and he might decide LSU is a better spot for him. Even if he goes sticks to loving Bama, doesn't look good for us to bash him along the way. Wait till after signing day like the rest of us

Sorry I just realized I left my account open. I guess my 4 year old son made the comment. He has only seen him play a few times. I will tell him not to rush to judgment.

Well he is Devin White but the shirt was made for him after his freshman year by his cousin. I'm sure you read that in an article about a year ago.
