Certainly we would have taken a LB of this caliber earlier in the recruiting process. But with the commitment of Debo, I don't think there was room for Devall.

And I don't see Miles holding a scholly for Devall with the other needs and talent LSU is still going after.

So are we still pursuing Richie Brown? Aren't we pretty much set for inside linebackers?

Devall is an overrated LB. He'll fit in well at Bama.

You wish you had Bama's linebacking corp.

I'll never be worried about the ones they get when they sign outta high school. I'll be worried when in college they start turning out any better than robby green, luther davis, kenny bell, darrington sentimore, and you could even say eddie lacey even though he is a quality player. The thinking is that as long as LSU has players in those positions that have proven themselves to be as good or better in college, we're cool. So far that has been the case beyond any shadow of doubt

I disagree, with this above. Robbie green was a fine player for us and got in trouble but he was never angry with bama or saban for his problems, Robbie green was a player. Eddie Lacey is a very good player and will be our lead back next year. kenny bell is coming along nicely made a couple of big plays this year and maybe our fastest wide out. Lurther Davis, never was a superstar liked many thought he would be but he turned into a solid player. I don't think anybody at body thinks we are going to get the superstars but as longs as we get solid players from La. I don't see why all the hate. JMO

You wish bama wouldn't have lost the last 3 times they played LSU. Yes I'm counting the NC game slapdick.

And we will give a big Tigerbait right back while we watch Hilliard, Hill, and Magee run his arse over the next few years.

I'm Sorry but what a bitch. He'll work out about as well as Robbie green and Luther Davis.

Good luck with that. Bama couldnt handle business at home.
We don't claim devall anyway. He's originally from Memphis. No offense playa.

Evidently you either didn't read my post or your reading comprehension skills are poor. I wasn't putting down those players so much as saying that in each case LSU has concurrently had players at those same positions who were better than them. And you can't prove me otherwise.

He won't be a good one. He's a DT trying to play LB. Lathan is better anyway, and we passed on him. At best, he's another Kenny Bell. Hope Bama is happy.

Your DBs are quite good. LSU's are better.

A when you lose TR next year, your RB stable is a joke compared to LSU's.

Nice quote. This kid's commit is definitely on shaky ground being that he is never even going to make it to Bama for his official visit.

That's just a strange way of describing yourself. To be a fan of a coach growing up? Regardless of which coach it is, just seems strange.

He's solid IMO. Devall never attended Summer camps last year and didnt come to the Family BBQ. He didn't dig Lsu for some reason. Id say 15 of 16 instate offers verbally committed still isn't too bad. I hope we can land the final 2.

We have the coaches nowadays at LSU who excel at helping these young guys play to their potential. I want Collins and hope we get him, but he's another guy we will be fine without. We have recruited very good DB's for the future.
