Signing the #1 Recruit in the Nation will be more than shutting up rantards.

I'm still tempering my expectations.

I got Les over Jimbo.

I had Mario at 40% chance to LSU. At this moment it's 50/50 IMO.

Mario wants to play DE so we will see.

I hope Mario realizes LSU is better for him

Here's my breakdown

Football opportunity - even because both schools allow him to go to the nfl and succed
Proximity to family- lsu
College town- even
Coaches-even you are going to have great coaches either way
Wins- LSU
Legacy- FSU
Familiarity with recruits- FSU

Correct. People are putting too much into the dad played at FSU angle. Did it help him become more acquainted with FSU? Sure but everything I've read and heard points to his dad just looking for the best school for MEJ. I would be hugely suprised if we land MEJ but if not I will not blame his dad for pushing him to FSU because I don't hink that is the case. MEJ is just more familiar with them. Then again I predicted Texas would get him in December so what do I know.

Haley is also the lead on Jeremy Liggins for the guy that asked earlier in the thread.

The simple fact that LSU has been on this kid for a while and that he eliminated Texas and he and his folks came for a visit to LSU tells you we have shot. Now that it seems the the visit is going really well, ....one would think we have a good chance.

I've never laughed so hard in my life watching his highlights. To see a 270 lb. guy running a read option made me laugh. Great athlete and player though

Not related to this thread, but it bothers me that people leave out Bennie Logan. He was a standout player on our defense all season, especially in the NCG. Unless he's overtaken by Freak this offseason, he'll be the #1 DT on the depth chart going into next season. So I think he deserves mention in the discussion of LSU's great D-linemen.

Agree. Bennie is playing himself into a 1st rounder imo. I loved Brockers and felt he was the more consistent of the DTs but at times Logan was clearly the most dominating and hard to contain of the group. Could have been the double teams Brockers was getting but Logan played at a Dorsey level at times. He particularly played really well in both Bama games. He was the key guy in the stalling of TR.

Haley has edwards and liggins. We have to fight off dads school for edwards and bome town school for liggins.

For once we actually have distance in our favor with an OOS recruit. That's all my insight.
