Regardless of what you choose to believe the results are the results and Devin White is an impressive human being.

Also go do some research and look up Patrick Willis' NFL combine results. Sometimes you get those freak athletes that put up numbers that are hard to believe.

Patrick Willis wasn't 17 haha. White will undoubtedly "lose speed" between now and his combine.

Says he was 242 (lighter than DW), 6'1" (taller than DW), and ran a 4.51 (slower than DW).
The Dick Butkus award winner about to hit his prime as a 21-22 yr old is slower than DW at 17.
Is this not computing for anyone else...

IMPOSSIBLE
ARRRRRRGGGHHH!
ARRRRRRGGGHHH!

What's computing to me is that a person can achieve the numbers. But hey, you seem to be an expert at judging ability behind a computer so what do I know.

You seem way to obsessed with this.
Let these young men have their day, and leave it be.
Not the 1st time I've seen this mess.
What do you accomplish?
Let it be. Especially if you're a fan. If not, go somewhere else.

Since people are hating on you.... you do bring a sensible argument to the table, if you #s are correct for these other athletes you mention. Others didn't think you would bring facts, I guarantee that.
I do see what you are saying - history says its unlikely.
With that said, who knows, maybe he did, maybe he didn't. I do think DW is faster than people assume.

Yeah I can prove it. Devin White would've been the fastest LB at the NFL combine this year while being the 3rd heaviest amongst 40+ participants...AT 17 YEARS OLD! LOL
So basically, you can't prove your point is what you're telling me. Gotcha

This is stupid. He'll likely be down to 245, so he will either gain speed, or stay the same.

Nah, that pretty much proves it. I'd love to hear why it doesn't though.

I'm still waiting to hear how it does...

I'm saying his combine time will be slower than the time reported in the OP. I'm not saying he will be a slower player. You do the math.

Okay I'll spell it out. Deeeeevvvvvinnnnn Whhhhiiiittteeee was fassssstterrrrr than every juniorrrrr and seniorrrrr linebacker prospectttttt at the NFL combinnnneeeeee this yearrrrr.
At 17 years old.
Heavier than all but 3 LBs at the combine.
Against guys who train 6-7 days a week for that event and that specific drill.
Who have gone through college S&C unlike anything DW has been exposed to.
Logic. Try it.

You are implying that Patrick Willis and Devin White come from the EXACT same genetic background, which is not only totally incorrect, but in todays culture, it would probably be racist haha
By the way, at these events, they usually have a laser timer down, as well as a hand clock or two to ensure their is some accuracy. For some nobody to come on here and claim the recruiting industry, as well as Nike themselves, are fudging numbers is really laughable. People are reporting what they are seeing and reading. You do have the option to believe what is plainly written, but comparing two athletes who are not related in any way is a bit short sighted.
FYI... Vernon Davis ran a 4.38 at the NFL Combine, while weighing at 254 lbs... Its been proven it is possible, though it is a rarity.
ETA: There was a white guy a few years ago on the Miami Dolphins Season of HBOs Hardknocks who earned a camp invite by running a 4.43 40 at 245 lbs while participating in a free agent tryout. His name is Les Brown.

Sometimes you just have it bro. D White happens to have it.

I am right there with you. I hope to god he does as well cause obviously I'm a fan. I'm just trying to give a little perspective here of how fast that claim actually is for someone with is measurables. It truly is freaky.

If you look at the actual link which includes a table of results, you might find some other interesting data.
His vertical was 37.9in. Only 4 people jumped higher - 3 CB's (all under 180lb) and a LB (225lb, who jumped 0.1in higher).
It seems logical that that kind of explosiveness and leg strength might propel him forward, as well as up, yes? Perhaps he also has the ability to turn his legs over faster than most people (the key to Trindon Holliday's success)?
You'll also see that his shuttle time is more in line with the LBs who are 25-35 pounds lighter than he is. In fact, he is the only one who has a slower shuttle time than his 40 time.
Is it possible that he is exceptionally fast in a straight line (while still being as agile as someone 30lbs lighter), and that is why he is listed as a 260lb running back, and not a DE?
I'm not saying that he can run a 4.49 all day, I'm just saying that you can't completely dismiss it.
