Your argument would be more credible if you had the measurable "facts" correct. The only "fact" you've got right are his age and wt. DW is NOT 5'11" and does NOT have a short stride. You've made all these comments about his timed 40, but apparently you've not looked at any of his highlight videos or checked out his height. You expect everyone here to doubt a timed 40 because you think the time was not "logical." IIRC, DW ran a 4.54 at an LSU camp when he was only 15 yrs old. Is it unreasonable that he ran a 4.49 2 yrs later? Of course not. I'm not saying he can do a 4.49 every day, but I don't think it's unreasonable that he ran it at the Nike camp. I've watched him from the sidelines from 3 seasons now and he's truly a beast and an athletic freak of nature....especially when he wants to be.

By the way, at these events, they usually have a laser timer down, as well as a hand clock or two to ensure their is some accuracy. For some nobody to come on here and claim the recruiting industry, as well as Nike themselves, are fudging numbers is really laughable. People are reporting what they are seeing and reading. You do have the option to believe what is plainly written, but comparing two athletes who are not related in any way is a bit short sighted.

Plus White had similar numbers in Dallas, Baton Rouge, and every other camp he's attended. Just one massive conspiracy

Well White did run using the same measuring methods as everyone else and ran faster that LSU's top CB prospects in Smith, Fulton, and Mullen.

Exactly. Regarding that, how can they explain that? I'm pretty sure all of those guys will run faster if/when they get to the combine than they do now, and that's with extra bulk.

For reference, Peterson ran a 4.34 at the combine at 6'0 220. Looking at that, is it that farfetched to say a guy at say 255, runs a 4.5 flat?

Forget about age for a minute. Freak's abilities were freakish in high school, yet he never developed beyond that point (maybe some of that had to do with him being lazy in the weight room).

White tested a 4.57 a few months back at 260. What it boils down to for me, is that a guy around 6'0 260, is running somewhere in the 4.5s, and that's crazy! He'll get down to about 245 and will likely run in the 4.4s. For reference, Jonathan Stewart ran a 4.48 at the combine at 5'11 235.

that Devin White can run fast means he's athletic period . it's unfair to compare that he ran faster than the DB'S .....

If you cannot buy his 40 time, then all other 150 others are all false. He runs a fast fricking 100 meters therefore he can pull off a 4.5

All your bullshite about his weight and age of 17 is bullshite. He is young, built full of muscle that must be fast-twitch, runs 10.5 100 meters at track meets with proper electronic timers. He can run 4.5 if he can run anywhere near 10.8 and below for 100 meters, which he does!!!

Since people are hating on you.... you do bring a sensible argument to the table, if you #s are correct for these other athletes you mention. Others didn't think you would bring facts, I guarantee that.

I do see what you are saying - history says its unlikely.

Nah, that pretty much proves it. I'd love to hear why it doesn't though.

Dude, you're being stubborn. There are timed results. You offering up how they dont make sense by comparing him to NFL LBs is so illogical it makes me wonder where you learned to argue
