Gtfo! The kid hasn't started his senior season and you think he'll be a bust. Leave and never come back.

Dude is the #21 DT in 2018 Class in the country with 29 offers from the some of the best teams in the nation... yet you know better that he is an OT.

Pretty much everyone in the recruiting industry thinks he is a way better OT than he is a DL. How many 6'7" 325 lb DTs you see out there? Jimmy Smith will tell you he would be a top 3 prospect in the state as a offensive tackle. You should probably follow recruiting more my friend.

Yep, and he doesn't even have a problem with playing OT. The insistence on playing DT was a kind way of shying away from Alabama. LSU will love this kid. He's a kind-hearted monster who will make down anything that comes at him. I think he'll be a 5 star before he graduates

I'm originally from the Miss-Lou and remain connected to the programs up there.

You absolutely offer the kid because he has a lot of upside, but I stand by what I said.

Raw with bust potential.

It is Ferriday... They aren't known to produce the best coaches in the world.

I have a good friend that played at OCS and films all their games for highlights later. He told me directly that Rosenthal has all the upside in the world to be playing on Sundays one day, but he is as raw as raw-hide on the field. But, he then went on to explain that their whole team was that way.. Ferriday beat them last year with talent ALONE.

Rosenthal won't start next year, but if he listens, learns, and adapts quickly he can become as good as he wants to be. From what I understand, he is as athletic or more so than Cameron Robinson who played at Ouachita and then West Monroe.

So, it all comes down to how he handles himself once on campus and has to begin to learn so much more to become a great player. I hope he does.

Yea, in my nonexpert opinion, he'll need to redshirt but there's good potential there if he's able to really learn. I'm excited about him though even if we're not sure where he'll play in college.

With Scott, like others said, they want him as a rush LB so Beal from John Curtis is still in play.

Beal is absolutely still in play.

And Rosenthal definitely has "dancing bear" LT potential.

Ferriday has always had athletes but that program does not prepare kids well for the college level...much less the SEC level institutions.

Jeremy Burns...aka Jeremy Lawrence was the last kid out of Ferriday to play big time college football, and he only spent part of his life in Ferriday.

They also sent LSU Shawn Griggs who played with Shaq in early 90's.

Rosenthal is Joseph Barksdale 2.0. He'll be an OT.

You just take this guy then when he gets on campus you try him at both positions, which ever he plays best you keep him there. Never know he could be a good NT for us. If that isn't working you open his eyes to OT or DE. I've seen his film and he looks more natural at OT to me. He's a big boy that can move so I'm sure they will try him at all these positions to see what best fits. Nothing wrong with that. GT

Just get him on campus and go from there. It's not that hard. Dmn his ratings if you see the potential. This kid moves with ease for his size.

Orgeron and co. loves doing recruit commits in 3's as they get these 2 to commit and a commit also in 2019 OT Thomas Perry. Trifecta

Rosenthal will easily be talked into playing OT once he arrives at LSU and starts practicing with the team, I'm not even sweating that. lol You just want to get him committed there and they've done that now. But he'll see for himself how the speed of the game will be much improved from the HS level, and he'll say to himself, shite, I may wanna play OT after all. lol

Follow it everyday but I dont coach a Fantasy League team. And Jimmy is way up there on my source list... Not. In the end it doesnt matter what we think, the kid has offers to Bama, FSU, LSU, tOSU, Aub, UF, UGA, yada yada yada to play DT... So what do you think he is going to do?

Nose Guard material and NFL sized. Everybody is looking for a plug up the middle

For comparison sake: Terrence Cody 6'4" 350lbs and you may remember a guy named Michael Brockers, 6'6" 325. I think he worked out pretty well.

People ask why we dont have players like that... cuz we try to turn em into OT's.
