Overrated? A&M would give their nuts, the left and the right one, to have him.

Don't worry, he's probably one of the Aggie fans that think they have stolen LA prospects from LSU

Good player, he was one of those guys I thought we could steal but like a guy said earlier in this thread if he had visited us and committed while on his visit, we would've had to sweat out his entire recruitment most likely. Not to worry, we've done well with OL the past year, plenty of other OL out there this year that are high on us. his ex-high school teammate is currently on our roster if anyone forgot, he imo could be a good one

I'm sure the lure of early playing time had something to do with this.

I haven't kept up with LSU's o-line depth currently, but this is the biggest need area for UT and someone of Riser's skills will contribute *real* early.

don't understand this. He indicates LSU is a major player for his services, plans to come down, the weather screws it up and he can't make it, he goes to Texas, and is so swept away by their inability to make a bowl game and plethora of new coaches that he commits on the spot without even another look this way?

Odd, good luck to the kid, but odd. Tough to pull kids that UT wants from them in the state but he didn't seem to fit the mold of a player that would get caught up on the Mack Brown early Junior super special offer days.

I wonder if he has had any discussion with Trey Allen, a Rivals five star in 2007 who has yet to start?

Us pulling in a ton size and talent on the OL this past class probably has something to do with it.

Actually, he came to College Station and left without an offer. I'm not sure why, because it looks like he has all the tools needed to be a good player. But no, A&M would not "give their nuts" to have him.

from what our reports say, Curtis is more like 6'2 270, not 6'4. I mean he could turn out to be a great undersized linemen (Like Pat Lewis- 6'1) but he's not the best linemen in the state IMO. That would be Michael Starts.

well we won't. we are currently targeting:

Michael Starts(offer)
Mike Matthews(offer)
Camrhon Hughes(offer)
Michael Wilson(offer)
Halapoulivaati Vaitai (offer)
