Could Hilliard outgrow the RB position and be moved to MLB?

Is this even an option or would Hilliard transfer if he didn't get significant playing time after Ford and/Ware left?

It is a possibility but I just don't believe he'll move from the offensive side of the ball. He is too good with the ball in his hands. I could see him moving to FB or playing a HB/FB hybrid role. I think that is how LSU will use him, as a hybrid, if he can't control his weight.

if it comes down to playing football or riding the bench, he'll do whats best for his team.

he'll get his fair shot

He'll lose weight and end up playing around the 220lb range.

Is LSU that desperate for LBs? This is the third move I've seen proposed on this board.

Kenny has a good frame to grow into a DT. I think he likes to eat, too. Wait 'til Moffit gets ahold of him!

I think Alfred Blue would be the better LB candidate anyway.

6-2, 4.49 speed. He's only 207 and needs to put on on about 20 lbs of muscle, but he could be another Daryl Washington (TCU) if he did.

Then again, that's the size Deuce McCalister was coming out of Ole Miss, so he'd probably stay at RB then.

So scratch Blue from the RB to LB list.

I still say that Ford will start, Ware get almost as many rushes while also catching passes out of the fullback slot, and Hilliard getting short yardage/goal line carries.

Mix in Blue, Gore, and Shepard whenever you can.

I don't think he'll ever get moved to LB but I do think it may be his best position on the college level. He has the body and athleticism for it.He can be a very good rb as well.I just think he could be a better MLB.

At this point, it looks doubtful, though I am a bit concerned about LB depth. Also, has Kenny Hilliard enrolled for spring semester classes yet?

I'm pretty sure there were like 6 freshman or redshirt freshman linebackers on scholarship last season...

Why should we just believe he would be a good LB? Has he ever really played defense?

Please wait until you have at least 175 posts to start calling people arse clowns, when you hit 200 you can call them arse hats or arse cheese whichever you prefer.
And yes they are rantards.

No, just a lot of guys that aren't established yet. And some reason people here are ALWAYS trying to move guys to LB. Charles Scott, Ridley, Brandon Worle, and I'm sure plenty more I can't remember.

Yes, he played both ways in high school, and was a beast at both...
