Mickey moved his commitment date up to avoid being a greyshirt candidate. To make sure he had a spot in the class he wanted to go to.

I'm still hoping he plays center. I know it probably won't happen, but I think he would be an absolute beast with his strength and mobility. Not to mention his 6'1" frame would be much less of a detriment to his future Draft stock. Plus, centers seemingly play forever in the NFL compared to DTs.
Glenn Dorsey was 6'1.

Great p/u and if this is the reason jernigan won't come to lsu than i don't want him. He shouldn't be afraid of the competition. We needed depth at the DT spot. Freak will need a break once in awhile and look at what happened to sam. Glad to have you mj.

Are you retarded, Jernigan doesn't care where MJ goes.

no, I'm basing it on the fact that he's over a year older than Hunter. I'm basing it on him being a champion power lifter (meaning he's already in a rigorous weight lifting program).

Both of those things mean that he is much closer to his physical peak than Hunter.

Really? So, a person's age means they can't get stronger or bigger??
How can you be sure Chuck Hunter would ever be able to accomplish the level of strength needed to become a champion power lifter??

Great news! I welcome Johnson. I don't necessarily think it closes the door on Jernigan single-handedly. It's always good to have some depth on that D-line.

Glad Johnson is a Tiger!

I'm pretty sure he was born in Cali. That's why UCLA was in the picture for awhile.

I just never bought that LSU didn't have room for a player as good as Mickey Johnson. I never had a good feeling on this kid even though my best sources told me he would be a Hog. I guess even us blind get lucky once in awhile and get it right, but wish I had been

Why would he commit to a school if they didn't want him. Arky site said to LSU, so am going to go with that.

Dorsey had a freak first step that made him the player he was/is. Mickey doesn't have that. I see him more as a slightly stronger / half-step slower Marlon Favorite. Like I've said before, I do think he can be a contributor at DT. I just also think he's got All-SEC potential at center.

The numbers will work out, even if we add Rasco and Jernigan. We can ask certain players to RS, like players with criminal charges, players that get suspended for the season, projects, etc..You are allowed 3 GS I think meaning we can take 25. MJ, Rasco, and Jernigan would make 24.

If MJ to LSU is true, does it have any implications with Rascoe?
