Now all you idiots claiming you know he "doesnt have a committable offer" can STFU.

Yea the guy acted like a kid sometimes during the process, but hes an instate talented player that our coaches wanted. I wasnt too thrilled about him coming because of his antics, but I'll wait and see how he turns out.

Been a while since i have been upset over a commit.
Maybe Jernigan told us he isn't coming.
Can we make it 2 for 2 today? At least that would brighten this up.

I've never been a fan of Mickey throughout the process, I liked Chucky Hunter more. But I will be happy to eat crow if he becomes an impact player. I just think that he's so close to ceiling that he doesn't have as much upside as other prospects.

I have heard that too, but what are we basing this on. Hearsay, just like MJ didn't have an offer. I think I will trust our coaches. If they didn't see great upside, he wouldn't be at LSU and would be a top 200 player on every recruiting prospect site.

This, D-line depth is a necessity.

Jesus Dude. Calm down. It has not been confirmed yet that he is going to LSU. Did he call Miles ? And did Miles take his commitment.

If so than great. Mickey is a very solid prospect.

Apparently we were all wrong. He may have even got the writers that give us our information to believe he didn't have an offer.

If he wanted to keep this a secret, then he did well. Props to him.

We'll see how he turns out on the field. I wonder if he can make an impact with his size.

Congrats to Mickey.

I'm still hoping he plays center. I know it probably won't happen, but I think he would be an absolute beast with his strength and mobility. Not to mention his 6'1" frame would be much less of a detriment to his future Draft stock. Plus, centers seemingly play forever in the NFL compared to DTs.

if Jernigan does pick LSU, and ask Hill and/or QT to grey shirt
I'd be disapppointed if Hill even gets a walk-on tryout

Great p/u and if this is the reason jernigan won't come to lsu than i don't want him. He shouldn't be afraid of the competition. We needed depth at the DT spot. Freak will need a break once in awhile and look at what happened to sam. Glad to have you mj.

If this is true, then Mickey accepted a greyshirt, IMHO.

Because we are still a leader for Jernigan

no, I'm basing it on the fact that he's over a year older than Hunter. I'm basing it on him being a champion power lifter (meaning he's already in a rigorous weight lifting program).

Both of those things mean that he is much closer to his physical peak than Hunter.

I think each person sharing their feeling about MJ is fine. Certain people were on these boards saying the kid didn't have an offer. Now he commits. You can surely see their point of view.

Does anyone know if Mickey has some Hawaiian blood in him? He looks part Samoan to me.
