speedy seems like the kid that isn't content with everyone feeling like he is a lock to one school and wants to enjoy the process and make you recruitniks jaws drop over his every move or his latest top 5.

if these players dont trust their own ability and dont think they can beat out anyone on the LSU roster, then LSU does not need that player, imho

you recruit the best at all time. true competitors don't shy away from competition

I'm sure Saban has pitched some version of that to LF.

I think for special players you give special consideration. I don't see a problem with how LF was recruited on LSU's end, given that he's a once-in-a-generation type talent

If so, its absolutely the smart thing to do...makes a kid feel he is priority. So we back off a one year wonder, to get a 3-4 year freak....no problem with this reasoning at all.

Can see speedy on bubble screens with the ability to also make an accurate throw downfield. Will keep dbs wondering whether to support run or stay with the receiver. Prefer him to one and done. Also will need punt and ko returners.

Concerning the rumors that LSU backed off of Williams to help with Speedy Considering Williams is a one and done - why would any of the freshmen WR recruits be worried? About the time they are getting into games good, he'll be gone. Dupre and Noil, particularly, will need to put on weight. Really only Quinn is completely ready to come in and compete for playing time, and that might even be a stretch. Quille should have NO impact on our recruiting - Landry and OBJ are leaving early - he's effectively just taking one of those guys' senior year.

I agree 100%. Hope all works out but the staff needs to be careful about passing on one top player for another without having a pledge secured. We went all in on Hootie and are now scrambling for Adams when Hootie went elsewhere, and Adams is not locked up from what I've read other day. Same thing with Landon Collins recruitment. Also felt that Quille would give those guys a chance to play, contribute, get bigger/stronger without the pressure while they adjust to college life and football.

I concur. I just think it's a mistake if Quille is good as most say he is. You don't let program changers leave without a fight. But, who knows what goes on behind the scenes. I just hope it doesn't come back to haunt us. You get as many as you can and let those players sort it out. It doesn't matter if you go to ATM, LSU, or BAMA. The guys in the previous class have heard the same spill. All those rosters have 5* talent. If they are lucky to get to the pros, it will be the same thing.

Enjoy the ride fellas!

If it came down to a choice between Williams or Noil, you'd have to choose Noil. Regardless of how good Williams is, he's a one and done player. There's just more long-term upside to Noil.
