Yeah, I agree. We'll see a lot of different looks to create more space for Jennings. Spacing them out in 3 or 4 wide sets, and having someone that can win a 1 on 1 battle every time will be HUGE for when they blitz. That's why having Landry come back is big

Quille should have NO impact on our recruiting - Landry and OBJ are leaving early - he's effectively just taking one of those guys' senior year.

Well it shouldn't matter to them, but the fact of the matter is we are dealing with 17 or 18 year olds that, rightfully or wrongly, come into college expecting to play right away.

Landry coming back would be huge, because if you have a 4 wide set formation and someone who can win a 1 on 1 battle every time, it's really effective when the other team blitzes.

Only way I can see that is if certain recruits just don't liek DW.

Personally, this is what first came to mind.

Is it possible he just decided he preferred AU over LSU?

Of course

That's not what this hypothetical is about, though

Cant let these kids dictate who we go after. It's how recruiting works. Besides, i hope Speedy has enough confidence in hisself to compete with anyone

FWIW, I think he does prefer Auburn over LSU, and will be an Aubie.

I can see us going with single back and empty backfield with Jennings, Bolden and even Rettig. Harris is more like Jennings, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Keeping 2 backs in to block may still happen situationally, but with a more elusive QB, I see us using 3 WR a lot more commonly - perhaps not in base on first down, but a lot more often.

We will be doing at lot of this. Three WR sets with Desean Smith and singleback. Empty back with 5 wide outs or 4 and a RB. Two TE sets with Smith and Washington. Cam hasn't installed his full system yet. When he does, get ready.

Well, he was the best player in the state his senior year. Notable recruits that were in his class from LA: La'el Collins, Anthony "freak" Johnson, Odell Beckham, Jarvis Landry, Jeremy Hill, etc.

If he turns out as good as either of these two

then count me in as #ridingforQuille.

In my opinion, I think it is a mix of him liking Auburn slightly more, the lack of clarity in whether he will actually go to college, and not taking a chance in hurting LSU's chances of landing a 3-5 year player such as Dupre and Noil.
