Just hoping some of the LSU staff watches this board. As stated before Cody is one we need to be after right now. My evaluation is on point this time. He will be playing on Sundays after his college career. He can not leave this state as bad as we need OL players.

We are looking in abroad when there top quality players here in the state for the next 2-3 years.

Another guy who I am very high Rodney Rollins of Loyola College Prep HS in Shreveport. Great prospect at MLB spot. LINK

If the LSU coaching staff take recruiting advice from a message board they are in real trouble

What's his height and weight? Looks lean. Looks like the body type grimes loves. Good kid? And what's his interest in lsu.

Someone started a thread of "sleeper" prospects for signing day '15, and these were the only 2 that stood out to me. I would like to see these two at LSU.

Cody Ford is committed to TCU. An LSU offer might change that.

He is a good OL prospect and one I'd like to see offered but he will have to camp and battle the masses looking for that 1-2 offers we make to inside players. We need OL but mainly OTs and the state is severely lacking them. The JC kid in 16 may be the most important recruit on the board right now and he's almost 2 years away from signing. More important recruit at OT than CRob was and its likely Bama I'd who we will be battling for him

He visited LSU recently, and the staff knows about him. Looks like they'll evaluate him during the spring and will want to observe him in camp.

Rivals lists him as 6-4, 322 lbs. Is this accurate?

I think he gets an offer at camp.

Or like headman said, afterwards.

If the LSU staff reads this board to get recruiting tips, we need a new staff.

For those who asked about his size, his 247 profile lists him at 6-5, 315.

My daughter cheers at Loyola(no pics) and is in the same class as Rodney. Have seen him play a lot the last two years and he does stand out on their team...not sure that translates into LSU caliber player. He's a good kid and hopefully will get a chance to player after HS.

He's a solid kid with great size. Personally just don't think he makes this class. Too much talent out of state and he's not at a position of need

He's a good kid with good character. If LSU offers, I think TCU is screwed!

Knew this was coming. You can't relay info on a kid without being accused of nepotism...

fwiw, I am very close to the family on his mom's side. The entire family are HUGE LSU fans. From my understanding Cody has played well in the Houston camp and New Orleans Under Armour camp.

I beleive if LSU were to offer, he would be a Tiger.

I think Grimes is still evaluating the OL prospects, both in and out of state and a lot will depend upon the camps and of course, how they play next fall.

No doubt LSU really needs to sign some tackle prospects who can compete for starting jobs before their college days are over.
