Great minds think alike. Seeing the power that Neville has become, Coach must be a wise man.

I agree with his coach, too much stock is put into a tape measure and stop watch. It = chest.

What about the 4.8? He must have great hands and moves to put up those type numbers.

The 4.8 has been discussed ad nauseam. It was at a combine that used electronic measurements. John's film speaks for itself, against high level 4A competition I might add. He is the best player by far on his film.

Chad Simmons has a nice premium analysis of Diarse up on Scout. Scout

His take on the 4.8 forty he ran in Orlando:

quote:

He plays as fast as he needs to, so I would not put too much stock in that 40 time. It could be a little deceiving.

Recievers need speed that is for sure but more important is cuts and route running and of course the most import part hands.

Good post. Reminds me of a pre-draft analysis of Darius Heyward-Bey a couple years ago: "He has everything you want physically in a WR, except for the one skill that is absolutely necessary."

Seeing as they have 3 state titles since the mid '80s and 2 of those have been in the last 3 years, I'd say that they are on a different level now than they've been since their run in the '80s. Being a good team every year and power are 2 entirely different things. West Monroe, John Curtis and Evangel are powers. Need multiple state titles in recent years to be considered a power right now. Because a school was a power in the '50s-'80s doesn't mean they are still one. Neville is on a possible 3 in 4 years title run. That's a new level of power from what any kid in their school has ever seen at Neville. Most of them weren't even alive when Neville won in '95.

And I've been in VA by the way.
