we are even then cause I'm not a fan of his diatribe or mascona's for that matter.

Gordy Rush\Mawae\Hester make more sense...oh, that's right , they actually played the game.

That doesn’t mean they know about recruiting. You don’t have to have played the game to understand and comment on things. Sorry if you can’t handle a little criticism and want sunshine pumped up your butt.

What needs did this class meet? People keep talking about all this line depth we added but when's the last time our highest rated defensive lineman was 274th in the nation

I love how somehow getting elite players and meeting needs is somehow mutually exclusive

the highest rated DL recruit is Travez Moore National #6 JC.
Davin Cotton is very good (according to in state sources), but had a season ending injury.
Nelson Jenkins was at the opening and was offered by Alabama, but had a season ending injury.
Any of the players with season ending injuries did not have the opportunity to improve their stock in the recruiting "season". This is a risk associated with making early offers based upon your own assessment rather than reading 247 to decide who to recruit.
LSU offered many more in state players than normal this year that did not have 4 or 5 stars early.
Look at next year. There are current 4 star players in the state that have not been offered yet (according to 247).
It will be interesting to see if the early signing period causes LSU to offer more in state players this spring. In the past LSU waited for the summer camps.

Imagine that

I am curious what he has to say, after counting the hiring of the only offensive coach that was a Broyles Award finalist as a major accomplishment

Honey Buns has amazing college football insight - i don't think so. Just because you host a local sports show, with ZERO interaction with audience, doesn't qualify you for much - other that being an overweight, short nuisance.

Our problem with previous classes has been over-filling the skill positions, and being thin on the lines. They have been highly rated, but they have left us completely void of depth on both lines.

^^^This^^^

Needs filled > that what ESPN or other ranking mouthpieces think.

When is the last time LSU was outclassed in a game on the edge due to lack of skilled athletes? When is the last time LSU was outclassed on the LOS?

Flashy high ranked WR's and RB's are great. We need superior line play.

Always good to judge the class based on incomplete and subjective rankings two full months before it is finalized

Agree. All our top targets except T. Marshall are still out there. Can’t put emphasis on stars. Emphasis has to be on how good is the staff at evaluating talent and players.
