After reading this I sincerely hope Les does whatever it takes to keep Cam around LSU for a long time.
Cameron should be our new head coach after Les goes trotting off into the sunset (hopefully soon).

There will be no more MNC's. We have a playoff, now!

Also, Cam is certainly overrated by the Rant. However, he deserves a lot of the credit for a much improved offense. The talent level last year was better, though, than at any time since 2007. Mainly, we finally had an oline.

Open your eyes. All of those players were on the team the previous year and had one of the worst offensive performances in LSU history... So were the players just improved or did the play calling and talent development improve immensely.

3000 yd passer
1500 yd rusher
2 ea 1000 yd receivers
find another offense with that level of performance.

but i didn't see any impact on WINS last year.

Blame that on a decimated defense.

Let's see what he thinks whenever one of these young qb's scare less and we turn back into the JJ style offense (see bowl game, it's real and only a pic or 2 away)

Well thank goodness our recruits don't share that view.

There are a few people in this thread that literally would complain about anything. They could go to a ball game, watch LSU win by 75, sit with Niykee Heaton while she makes out with you as LSU scores each TD, eating steak from Ruth's Chris and y'all would still find a reason to piss and moan.

At least capitalize the starting words of your sentences if you're going to make such asinine comments about a great offensive coordinator.

The talent we had last year was better than '07 IMO:
QB: Maybe slight edge to Flynn
RB: Jeremy Hill was one of the best we've ever had.
WR: See above - Doucet, Byrd, LaFell were very good but LaFell had the drops for much of the year and Doucet was hurt for several games.
OL: Good in '07 but '13 will prove to be better.

The reason '07 was more productive was that we had nut-case as OC but with talent it all came together - nothing vanilla 'bout '07's O. '13 was very good but seemed kind of plain - no frills.

I think if our D shows it can control the flow of the game this year we might see a more wide-open approach (won't be reckless) - even with the inexperience at QB. It .

While many others have already proven this statement to be a little ridiculous, I will further it by providing you a little bit of stats.
If you compare the last 2 years of offense, here is how they stack up to each other:
2012 - 29.8 points around 4800 total yards and 242 first downs. We were also 40.21% on 3rd downs and 84.91% successful in the red zone.
2013 - 35.8 points per game, around 5600 total yards, 287 first downs, 57.14% 3rd down conversion rate and 83.93% success rate in the red zone.
As you can clearly see, in every single category except red zone rate, we were better than the year before with basically the same offense. If you can't see a difference, I don't know what to tell you. You brought up the Georgia game and the fact that we couldn't score late, however, you fail to remember that we actually scored with about 4 minutes left in the game to take the lead. We also tied the game against Ole Miss pretty late as well only to have our defense blow the game. The only game that was truly a team loss was the Alabama game.

I dont believe that stat differentiates TD's vs FG's which I believe was much improved in 13 as well... Good facts to support the obvious (to most at least).
