yet he somehow he ended up at the #1 football school in America, who specifically pegged him as a future stud edge rusher

Sure would be nice to have K Young at ILB this season next to Beckwith. 6'2" 235 lbs (from Mar article I recently read). He started 12 games as a SO last yr, was 5th on team with 69 tackles.... Seems like a nice young man who is doing well at UCLA.

Also, Williams turned out very well, but he wasn't a super highly recruited guy. I don't think he was top five in LA at that time.

yes, he was highly recruited.

Of the guys being listed how many of them did Miles actually lose as compared to guys who liked LSU but really just wanted to get out of state?

Greg Robinson is the biggest imo.

Tim Williams wasn't a loss because we let him leave. We didn't go all out like the others that left the state.

If we could hand pick one off this list that would have made a huge impact it would be Dak Prescott.

Both Robinson's, Young, Williams would be great additions. As far as the running backs on the list we have filled that position fine at LSU and those guys would have not impacted our team that much if any.

Good people bond with good people , scuzzbuckets bond with scuzzbuckets ,I am positive that this shows up big time in recruiting ! Coach Miles is a class act and these are the type of kids we wind up with !

The way I remember it was that Tim Williams really had no interest in LSU despite being at UHigh. LSU fans just kind of accepted that he wasn't interested and wanted to get out of state. For a while it looked like his destination was going to be Miami, with Florida State a possibility. Then a few weeks before signing day he went on a visit and committed to Bama without anyone really expecting it beforehand. All of a sudden, LSU fans threw a tantrum about letting a recruit go to Bama from UHigh. He was far from "all Bama," but LSU wasn't a likely landing spot.

He really didn't fit Chavis' mold. Oh well, I'll take Arden Key.

You also can't forget about the Monroe kids that ended up at TCU. I'm sure some WM Jocks will be here shortly to remind us of that..but I beat them to it

Actually to keep the theme of the thread, Chucky Hunter did get in some trouble with the law around the time of the draft. Nothing for Lathan, McFarland, and Turpin though.

Kenny Young and Tim Williams had ZERO intention on staying in Louisiana.

They were leaving the state no matter the recruiter.

Joe McKnight was probably the biggest one.

no.

and uSC did not even get spanked for Reggie Bush's illegal recruitment of McKnight, which McKnight admitted during
his hat ceremony.

I gave up on the NCAA when they didn't even deal with it although we had video of JM admitting it.

not the last few years, but the two biggest misses that we could really use right now:

1) Peyton Manning
2) Terry Bradshaw

I hate to ruin the view from your glass house, but you do know Les has had his share of players arrested?

18 year old kids sometime make poor decisions.

Derrick Odom
Jordan Jefferson
Honey Badger
Karnell Hatcher
Anthony Jennings
Brad Wing
T-Bob
Jeremy HILL
Terrance Toliver
Jalen Mills
Frank Herron

several others I'm sure.

I think LSU has fewer arrests than most SEC schools. Don't kid yourself, LSU would've taken all 6 those players.
