bama on the outside looking in for kelly? now that is just ignorant. i agree clemson has a slight edge, but by no reason would i be surprised to see kelly signing with bama. ive heard for a while about the bell situation, and if this episode at school today is true then thats great for us. but we have other good receivers committed, it wouldnt bother me if bell didnt come. im hoping bowman and or norwood will make an impact at receiver next year. bell would be my third choice behind those two, and if patterson comes then he would be the fourth. im not overly impressed with kendall kelly or kenny bell.

It's interesting that BAMA has about 8-12 guys they expect to sign, meanwhile LSU expects maybe 2 or 3..

We are sitting about the same numbers 21 or 22, and yet BAMA is staring at 30 again...

I find that Amazing..

Saban had great classes at LSU, but never went back to back like this

With RR likely coming on board, bell can go wherever he wants

Yes, but he says he's on track to qualify.

we sign all these guys but its a given that 3 or 4 wont qualify, the numbers always work out. i trust that the coach in charge knows what hes doing.

I hope he sticks with LSU. Let's not dog him based upon a rumor.

im not on for bashing 18 yr olds..that being said (typed). i'd personally rather have kelly over bell. from all of the vids ive watched on both kids, kelly looks to be better than bell to me. hes big, fast, has great hands, and difficult to tackle. just IMO.

kelly is very injury prone. i agree id rather have kelly, but they arent on the same level as rr or patterson.

i just wish he'd go ahead and decommit already. walking around your hs and telling your teachers you're going to another school without informing the coaches is pretty immature imo. and it's not like kenny bell is such a great player that he can pull this shite. it'd be one thing if shep or davenport was playing these games...but bell? the guy will probably be an average player in college, does he really think he has the stature to mess around like this?

His stock has been falling all year. He was once one of the top 6 recruits in LA, but he hasn't impressed anyone with his senior year performance or his all-star games. There have been rumors about Janzen and Bell for some time now, but no one was really freaking out about Bell, while there were all of these 10 page threads on Janzen.

I would still rather have Bell and Randle than just Randle, but if we can compete for Kendall Kelly, and Bell really wants to go to Bama, it isn't a big loss.

Rivals does have him listed as soft verbal. Has he been taking visits?

He visited Alabama, and I believe he may have gone to Michigan.

I'm not reading this whole thread, so if its been posted my B, but Sonny did an article on Bell 2 weeks ago about how solid Bell is. Why does everyone hate on Bell so much?

How times (and attitudes) change! I remember when the kid committed, fireworks went off and grown men had orgasms! Now the kid ain't worth shite!
On an more serious note, who's the chick in the brown bikini? Dahyum!

Probably because he has been playing games in recruiting more than any of our recruits, and unlike Janzen and Rueben, he isn't really a top-level talent.

He's a 4 star on both major recruiting sites and he isnt a top-level talent? That confuses me.

Why do you think this?

i would say people were more excited to get bell based on his 4 stars rather than his actual film. he's a solid hs player, but he's never been one of the highlights of this class. he's lucky to have a spot in this class imo and i hope les let's him know he's expendable soon.

I can't believe how long this thread has gone on when there is no real evidence worth a damn. "Somebody knows somebody...." is the line thats always on this thread, and you can use that kind of post about once out of a thousand times. Seriously, hes probably not going to Bama, and TR is probably going to Bama.

He's rated as the number 40 receiver on Rivals, and some people seem to think that is a little high if anything.

The NFL draft usually consists of players from three years (Juniors, Seniors, Redshirt Seniors), and I can't recall when 40 receivers are ever picked.

There are always sleepers in every class, but those guys either have ridiculous speed (Yamon Figurs) or great size (Colston). Bell is very thin. With all that being said, Bell is good enough to be a part of this class, but he has to realize that he can't have the same attitude towards recruiting as bigger prospects like Pryor or Bryce Brown.

I sort of agree

I watched the KK film as well, and I wasn't too impressed either..When you watch RR or Debose, they are on another level imo

so I think I understand what the poster is trying to say
