All of that is correct. Also you have to play the one and done game. You can't not recruit the best players because of the possibility that they are done after one year, that's stupid. Just like the guy that said Ben Simmons didn't help LSU. Just an asinine opinion and ideology because he read that somewhere.

Hornsby and Simmons were practically the only difference in last year's team to this year. We turned down an NIT bid last year and we're close to the NCAA bubble. This year we went 1-15 in the SEC. I'd say Simmons made a huge difference.

Exactly! Both signees are 4* guys and top 100. If they can add a big or 2 and most guys come back next year this team can be competitive.

We also lost Quarterman and Gray. That is the top 3 ballhandlers, along with Simmons. We turned over the PG position to a true freshman and didn't really have a veteran to spell him or to learn from. It was a recipe for disaster. I don't know why people just brush that off like its nothing. The team had no leadership. All we can do is add some or hope these guys get better..

IMO Sampson transfers

based on what? He's one of the top returning players and is very likely to be a key part of the very beginning with Wade.

So was Ralston Turner 5 years ago. Not saying that means anything for Sampson, but it's a possibility.

We were also missing Craig Victor and Tim Quartermann. So, every single impact player from last year's team outside of Blakeney.

Turner ended up a solid player at NC St after he transferred.

Ben Simmons absolutely helped LSU basketball out. Johnny Jones coaching just ruined it. We had the national spotlight on us and he had an insanely great freshman year. If we had made the tournament, which any good coach would've done last year, we would've had prime time slots and millions of viewers because of Ben.

I just wish that he was having an awesome season right now in the pros so that they would be talking about LSU every time that he plays. Unfortunately, that hasn't worked out so far.

There are two top 100 players from here that did not play a minute at their respective schools this season (Mark Vital and Cameron Lard). Is there anyway we can reach out to these kids and maybe get them to consider returning home to play for Wade. Dunno how realistic it is but just a thought.

Cameron Lard was having trouble getting accepted at Iowa St.
don't know if that ever got cleared up.He is also a former high school teammate of Brandon Rachal.

Sean Mobley, a VCU recruit, has great potential. I'd like to see him here at LSU.

Somebody posted this site a couple of years back. It explains the roster history well.

That is a good site. as it sits he has one left.

If Wade can get the players he could easily afford to process Jenkins, Heyward, and Vial. Likely to lose Blakeney too which could give him 4 more spots to fill.

Under that scenario he could bring in as many as 7 in this class. Likely is 4-5.
