Gotta good feeling about this… the implosion of A&M and Florida really should help…if we’re counting transfer portals totals

Top 5 may be a little ambitious. Top 10 I can see happening.

Factoring in portal transfers maybe. But just on HS recruits no. We have a solid class but the majority of the kids are grossly underrated. Always going to be the case when the class is primarily Louisiana based.

I don't think it was ever as bad as this board sometimes made it out to be

Recruiting is an up and down game. Let it play out and I think we'll get what we need and then some.

Always said we’d finish between 4th and 7th (which is absolutely a respectable class that is high enough to win championships).

Idk if they'll get to top 5 but I really, really like the balance of this class. It's not perfect, but it's far from a disaster.

On offense, you have a QB in Hurley but honestly, the big fish is for next year in Underwood. You have a game breaking back in Durham, an alien at TE in Trey Green, a nice balance of varied skillset receivers and another loaded O line class headlined by 5 star Weston Davis.

On defense, you actually have a shot to land a very nice defensive line class in Jackson, Reliford & Washington. You back them up with a really good LB haul with some very nice players there. Corner is one where you'd like to see a bit more star power but the safety spot is headlined by McBryde, who looks to be in that DBU classic safety at LSU mold.

2024 is not what 2025 will be by any stretch, but it's a very solid class with some great pieces.

Rocky I’m feeling this. Maybe top 7. Get the reliford, Tuggle who is visiting next weekend and last surprise Bussey. Also some random no one is talking about.

If they get Bussey and Miller and some good transfers, it's possible.

we are middle of the pack in the SEC in recruiting, I hope we can get past 4 or 5 more teams, but that ain't happening (i'm factoring in OK and TX into the ratings since they are in the SEC now).

we are way behind in recruiting whether the boards admits it or not

Way behind is too strong a statement. BK’s first three classes are better, on paper, than the 3 classes that made up the majority of the 2019 team.

The 2019 team

2017: #7
2018: #15
2019: #5

LSU under BK

2022: #7 (transition year)
2023: #5
2024: Currently #6

Yep, this is one of the lowest rated Louisiana classes in the past decade and lowest class in the last 5 years. The entire state is undervalued by the services but the talent is certainly there. LSU did a good job recruiting the state; best haul in a long time.

Don’t expect anybody else but Reliford, but if we get those three, we should have at worst, a top 8 class.
