Teammate of fullback commit Tory Carter. Camped over the summer. 247 shows he has an offer but that was under CLM and I don't think it was a legit offer. Would possibly jump on offer to play at LSU. He's a thumper.

I'll take him if he wants to be a tiger, there aren't many of those kids right now so we take what we can get plus we need bodies... aranda can hopefully coach him up.

So you waste 4 year scholarships on kids who will never play?

You're special aren't you?

I talked to him at end of the season and he would be all over a legit offer! He was worried he wasn't going to get offer from a big school. He is a baller!! Attacks and hits hard! A little bit short but a gamer.

@cadello
May want to check up on NCAA rules on scholarships. Only entity committed to 4 years is the kid. Schollies are a one year renewable contract for the school

The guy is actually a good Lb. He was talked about months ago as potentially getting an offer.

I don't think I've ever seen this much ignorance in one single post.

2016 season had 92 inside linebackers on Big 5 conference teams who are 5'11" or shorter.

NFL inside linebackers average size is 6'0" 235 lbs.

I always liked this kid. I think he is P5. But we can all disagree.

My point was ....... Why give them out just to fill a quota if you don't think the recruit will ever see the field.
I wasn't knocking any kid in general, just saying it makes no sense to give out a scholly simply to fill the numbers.

If you have the scholarship available, you take the chance. He may turn into a stud, or may not. You won't know until you try him out. If it doesn't work out....scholarship is year to year. I'd rather have someone, then no one. JMO

Hw many times has LSU rescinded them because a player didn't wrk out? How many times would it take before a team is filled with no players?

I can't see the logic in this over waiting until next year and using it to get a better player.

Most teams fill up their available "ships" in a given year instead of looking into the unknown of next year. In a way this is the recognition of the uncertainty of any given players abilities once on campus. Teams take their best shots and take their chances. They also know natural attrition will occur and can "process" if need be.
