Normally, I might agree with you but the people pushing/wanting stipends for players would disagree with you. According to them, SOME football players can't afford to even go out at all, etc, due to no money. Sooo, for those guys, yeah, I guess trying to pay for one semester is actually very close to the end of the world. At least it is for trying to attend a school and pay for everything, particularly coming in from out of state and being on the hook for out-of-state tuition.
