actually all 4 of those guys play on the same 7v7 team which is coached by Simmons' dad. Simmons and his dad were pissed at the bait-and-switch as the horn coaches made promises of an offer to him when he visited. It came across as no more than a means to get Paris on campus when they never followed through with an offer to Simmons.
I don't think the others are holding firm on that but who fricking knows. They are all friends and have this in their ear that the Texas coaches are full of shite. That certainly doesn't help the horns' chances.

Thanks for the more detailed description of the friction between those 4 and Texas. we of course asked for clarification but James Smith just ignored the follow up. But IHO, there is 0 chance still that any of those guys would consider Texas. According to him, what caused the friction which I guess you described, that wound has not healed.
