A Win-Win Is What's Neeed with the NOLA HS Coaches

It is beneficial for both sides.
From an LSU perspective, NOLA is simply too fertile of a recruiting ground in our backyard to leave this (whatever "this" is now) unresolved. IMO, the Tiger fans thinking we can just write NOLA off aren't thinking soberly. The fence needs to start there.
And likewise, from a coach's perspective. LSU is a golden opportunity in their backyard. It is to their advantage to keep the doors open as well.
Could we find players elsewhere? Yep. Could the players from NOLA find offers elsewhere. Yep. But it will work best for both sides to on friendly terms.

People act like things like this never happened in the history of recruiting. There was several moves the day after NSD why is LSU's the only one that got national publicity? These coaches need to man up, Juluke had a job and didn't perform, so he was fired. That's what happens in the real world.

Yeah it's pathetic that HS coaches can think they can control what goes on at LSU. Get the hell out of here I've completely ignored this pathetic topic! Hope those coaches get fired

100 percent agree with this.

I agree. I live in Mobile because of my job. If the local high school coaches publicly went after Bama or Auburn that would be their arse. They would never coach in the state again.

Ok, it's pathetic. Is that where it ends?
It's better for both sides to engage in trade and commerce.
A much better outcome would be for us to have every single HS football coach in NOLA 100% loyal to LSU.

Coach O should get as many LA high school coaches and invite them to LSU and start building that wall. This may by the spark that is needed. O needs to repair relationship with NOLA area coaches, and get a pipeline started in the Monroe area, consistency in North La, Alexandria area is needed as well. I have seen several post from folks talking we don't need LA kids and teach them leason my thoughts are they crazy. LA is too important to LSU and vice versa. "Coaches in the Boot"

They're probably all on Saban's payroll.

The second Ed calls their bluff and bans them from the sideline, camps, clinics, practices, they will all change their tune real fast. This will hurt them way more than they imagine.

The funny thing about this is Coach O didnt hire the these guys. He fired BDP and Cam C. the day he toke over probably because both were horrible coaches.
He keep these two guys,juluke/craig, probably to keep the recruiting class intact and see if they could prove themselves recruiting. When it was all said and done Juluke proved he was not a very good recruiter and thats what he was hired to do. Craig was a below average Wr's coach that didnt do very much to finish the recruitng year. Coach O did what most coaches do these days waited till after signing day and made changes. Coach O wanted better results in recruiting. Why is this so hard to understand. Its a business and these coaches should know that. If someone is under performing you make a change. Its not personal but you want people that will make you look better not the ones dragging you down.

These coaches are just like politicians. They are willing to sell out the people they represrnt, the high school students, in order to enrich themselves. I'm actually not really surprised by this.

Well, it looks pretty simple to me. If these high school coaches want Juluke to look good and be successful at LSU (for whatever reason), how about steering their kids to LSU? This is what happens when LSU isn't satisfied with its NOLA recruiting.

I heard coach O challenged every single one of em to a Red Bull guzzling contest and not 1 accepted his challenge. Bunch of powseys if u ask me.

I don't give a damn about what's beneficial to those whiny HS coaches.

Let's be clear, this involves certain New Orleans schools not all of them and not even half. These are just the schools where Juliuke had a relationship with their coaches. To say "New Orleans" schools is painting with a broad brush and mischaracterizing the situation. With that said we need to mend fences with these particular schools. It's best for all programs.

There is some sense in this. Any existing offensive staff would have to re-prove themselves with an OC change. Juluke just didn't pull his weight in this class. The RB Coach is a recruiting first position at LSU going back many years. 2 of 3 guys isn't good enough.
Craig looked good going into the stretch run, but then the Guidry thing happened. I think that situation hurt him, especially since he was the guy they signed to make up for losing Ausbon. This is on top of spotty WR performance this year and rumors of friction with O and in his previous job.
By contrast, Grimes delivered a very solid O Line class. Again. Best yet, he knocked it out of the parkas OT, a big position of need, with Deculus. He needs to do better on the field, but looking at the rushing numbers the last two years, Grimes has been better at his job than Craig was at his. Bottom line- he earned his spot for another season.
Maybe no one in LA is used to accountability anymore thanks to good old Les. People need to wake up and realize that we need it in our football program again, from O all the way down the line.

This is all so dumb in the first place

I have a problem with the fact that several coaches would call for a boycott of LSU because a coach got fired. What would they have done if he was white or asian or latino? Why should they care as long as LSU treats their kids right? I could rant about double standards....politics with the way the left acts...etc. but this is about recruiting. Who LSU hires and fires should have no affect on the recruiting of THEIR kids. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

LSU needs NOLA more than NOLA needs LSU and all of you know that.
