It's an honor and a great achievement to be offered a $160,000 scholarship. He failed to recognize that.

Just thinking back, if we would have landed a guy like Tim jernigan, I think that abosultely would have made a world of difference in 2012 and 13.

Trey Quinn
Quantavius Leslie
Tyron Johnson
Avery Peterson
Kevin Spears
John Diarse

What do they all have in common? All were higher rated players, but still got buried on the depth chart and transferred. Not saying Bolden won't be great. He could be the next Josh Reed, but WRs have not been an issue at LSU. Getting them the ball has been of issue lately but hopefully that's being fixed.

For some reason over the last 8 to 10 years the WM rebels don't seem to have the chest to become Tigers. Hate that and hate em worse when the gumps get them. I mean you get offered by your home state school and they don't kiss your arse and you get your feelings hurt and go somewhere else, good riddance. GEAUX TIGERS, screw the gumps.

Staff clearly didn't feel like Bolden was a priority with Provens on board. Bolden is a good player, but let's be real here for a minute. He's not worth freaking out over. Not even close. He's not going to make or break this class and we have other needs to fill without many spots left

Slade is a 4.0 student and a great player. He is also just a tad undersized. I'm sure he and his family were under an immense amount of pressure regarding his decision. I'd like to see him at L.S.U. The choice, however, is his to make. In ten years, he'll be a physical therapist somewhere and only he will know if the decision he made was right or wrong.

That type of post is totally uncalled for here!

This is no place to interject facts into an argument.

If Bolden doesn't want to be here, f*ck 'em.

Pretty much my sentiments as well.

I want every kid from LA whose talented enough to play at this level to do so in P&G. I know that there's more than we can sign. But if he's good enough I wished he would come to LSU.

That said, let's dispense with the "love LSU" talk. I love LSU. Tre White loves LSU. Slade Bolden does not. Nobody who loves LSU and holds a scholie offer eliminates LSU and retains Bama.

If he loved LSU it would overshadow any fickleness he senses from the staff. Heck, it's unlikely wherever he goes that he'll play for the same HC, OC, and position coach all four years.

Trust the staff, they know more than us, they've done their evaluations, they don't make mistakes, yada yada yada...Bama owns Monroe even more now

He's obsessing over a white wide receiver. If this kid wasn't white, he would be just another 3 star.

As a West Monroe native and alumnus, it is going to be hard to cheer for Bolden this season after turning down a LSU offer! Just being honest.

That this class was not even close to being as good as it could've been. Slade Bolden offers intangibles that will translate well at the next 2 levels. Our failure to gauge his potential will bite us.
