Ask Todd Kinchen, I could still stangle our administration for not letting him in when I was in school.Cost me a State Champ ring from my Jr and Sr year.

Really? I realize he wasn't a big fan of Episcopal, but I know he didn't like U High. Perhaps this was after he was denied.

U-High is run by the LSU system. which is a public educattional system that is largely funded by the State of Louisiana. Long story short, people who say U-High is private school don't know what the hell they are talking about.

For reasons already listed

But those that say it run like a private school are correct...

Not really considering they are a private school in name only. If you think U-High is on an even plane with any other 2a public school you are an idiot.

Take out the fact that it has a public school administration and the school is virtually indistinguishable from a private. They charge tuition, aren't bound by a district, have selective admissions, etc.

Well they'll(John Curtis and Evangel) both be in 3A next year so that should make you feel better. At least that's been the rumor.

Its not a rumor, JC, Evangel, and U-high move up to 3A in 2013

It'll be JC, Parkview, U-High, and Evangel in the semis next year in 3A. Prepare for a ton of crying from 3A public schools.

And a lot of grins in 2A, 4A and 5A from the cowards that shoved U-High, Curtis and ECA into 3A so they wouldn't have to watch them hoist the championship trophy.

How were any of the above schools shoved? Curtis and ECA choose to play up and U High had higher enrollment than any 2A school.

I'm talking about the restriction that kept JC and ECA from moving up to where they used to be (4A and 5A respectively). Check their trophy cases. 3A got railroaded. We got pushed up because the bottom line got moved. Our enrollment was actualky down from the last time, but there was some 2A lobbying to get rid of us (also knowing JC and ECA would play up as far as they were allowed to).

not really... if you look at the number of schools in each class over the years.... it's all in line - with where ya'll fell - not ENROLLMENT wise because that always shifts... but number of 3a schools...

That could well be. But when the enrollment bright line was set and we were exactly ONE student above it, one might be a bit suspicious.
