I'm surprised Peterson wasn't ranked on MLB.com and I'm surprised woley or slaughter isn't in the BA 500

Jake Slaughter makes his debut tonight playing SS and batting in 4 hole for the Gaithersburg Giants. They are 0-1 after last night. Jake just arrived yesterday so he did not play. They play at 7pm EST 6pm CST. The Cal Ripken Collegiate league. You can follow game on live stream.

When guys play in these college league's before the draft does that basically mean they are dead set on playing college? I'm sure they are still eligible to be drafted but does it mean they are almost unsignable?

Awesome! Thanks for this, I'll add that info to my eligibility tracker and put him on my summer stat tracker spreadsheet. Appreciate it. He's one of my favorite recruits, I really hope we get him on campus.

In some cases yes, in some cases no. Josh Smith seems pretty dead set on getting to LSU. But there have been players in the past that have used the Summer Leagues to either increase their draft stock prior to the draft (though the time is short to do that) or use it after they've been drafted to justify a higher asking price.

Combing through twitter, it appears that at least Nick Coomes, Hunter Kiel, and Eric Walker are on campus and in summer classes. There may be more that are.

I tried asking in the MLB thread on the rant and didn't get a response. Do yall expect Slaughter to make it to campus?

JJ is probably best able to answer this, if he's willing to, understandable if not.

I feel like he'll make it to campus though.

I feel confident he will make it to campus. He's not going to skip LSU unless he gets a significant amount of money. I know the number, but that part I'm not posting. I think we will get to enjoy him he next couple of years.

Here is a good link for seeing who the top guys in each state are. Baseball America is updating it throughout the day:

Deichmann would be wise to come back, I think he goes close to where Fraley went if he does

If Hess and Peterson gets through while adding Smith and Coomes this team could win in Omaha

Probably everyone but them and weatherly. That's unless some team ends up with a good bit of extra money and goes after someone they picked in the 30's which is unlikely.

Project, what's the name of the summer teams that slaughter and smith play for?

Hess, Peterson and woley all confirmed on Twitter that they are going to attend LSU. I know Peterson and woley didn't get drafted, but some guys choose to attend juco late
