Just to forewarn I am not freaking out over ely going elsewhere or anything this question is more curiousness than anything, are there any stud '12 qb's that are already on our radar or better yet louisiana qb's? for you recruiting gurus?

Tyler Cameron, Blake Jackson, and Kevin Fouqier.

Jackson and Fouqier would accept an offer without reservation.

Cameron might be the best of the three, but he lives in Florida, and is being coached by a former UF player. He would take a Florida offer BUT... he would have to sit and wait 2-3 years behind a wall of highly-touted QBs. He'd get a chance to play perhaps as a freshman at LSU after JJ and JL have graduated. I think Ely going elsewhere gave us a big leg up on Cameron.

His dad coaches at ULL, i doubt we'll get a serious look. (that is not to say he'll end up at ULL, I just think the hatred for LSU bred at that school will preclude us)

Got this list off of Saturday Night Slant:

1. Gary Crow 6-3/220 Ocala, FL Trinity Catholic
2. Jameis Winston 6-3/180 Hueytown, AL
3. Matt Davis 6-2/195 Houston, TX Klein Forest - This is the guy that really sticks out in my head, and he has 5 Star written all over him. He camped at LSU last month, and had great things to say about his trip.
4. Connor Washington 6-2/190 Stephenville, TX
5. Jeremiah Briscoe 6-3/185 Houston, TX 2nd Baptist
6. Marshall Williams 6-5/195/4.7 Flower Mound, TX
7. Greyson Lambert 6-5/185 Jesup, GA Wayne County
8. Zeke Pike 6-5/220/4.7 Edgewood, KY Dixie Heights

Pike, Winston, and Davis could all be 5* next cycle.

Is he related to the Pike that was QB at Cincy? Tony Pike was listed as being from Cincy and Zeke is listed as from a town right near the Cincy airport in Kentucky.

No, apparently his dad, Mark Pike, played for the Bills but he's not related to Tony.

Bama has offered Pike and he maybe better than Winston but I realy hope Bama stays hard on Winston. I dont know much but I think sometimes it is important to take the instate kid if he is really good even if their is a better option elsewhere(not that Pike would go to Bama just an example)

I've been hearing that Pike is Auburn's to lose. Any truth to that?

Winston is ours to lose. I think Lambert has had some good things to say about Bama as well.

Same situation as Ely. Looks to be growing and could end up 3 inches taller. Has quickness and moves similiar to Gavin Webster, but a somewhat better passer. Dual threat candidate?

Matt Davis looks intriguing. He appears to be giving LSU some love. Whether it's to get the Longhorns to up the ante, who knows? But he certainly won't be going to Bama.

Anthony Alford Petal HS

Remember the name. He is a 2 sport star who is likely to be a HIGH MLB pick, but has stated he wants to play football and baseball in college.

Kid is a sick athlete, I have seen him play both sports. He is the only HS player I have ever seen steal home plate before, and it was in the South State finals.

Maybe the Mandeville QB will show some stuff this year. He's a real student of the game. This will be his first year starting, but did fairly well at the 7 on 7's.

I have no idea. He may be I do not know any insiders just what I pick up on the boards and you know how unreliable that can be.
