Saw him mentioned in a B/R article

Being somewhat new to following recruiting, is he worth us looking at? He was apparently the MVP of his 5a Texas state championship game but has no D1 offers.

I think in today's College football, teams recruit heavy based on athletic skill only and from certain pools of ath.'s. Recruiters often overlook guys who play "Football" the best... I know you have to have the physical abilities, but without the Football IQ, you are just an ath. trying to play football.

LSU should have looked at him. He'll start this fall about 240 run around a 4.48-4.5 depending on weight. His FB IQ is through the charts and he will knock your head off and realign his players to confuse the QB. Watch the defensive TD in the State game. He audibles the D and LB's to their perspective gaps. That's what you want in the Middle. Size and speed are great but Smart is always better. A Coach on the field is even more deadly.
He was just named the Padilla Poll Coaches pick for Defensive Player of the Year for 5A football in Texas. By the way, our family is from LA.

I will say that after experiencing the recruiting process first hand it is about as crooked as it gets. We did not pay the right people to get ranked on rivals...a three star will cost you about 1200 cash. We we're told to our faces we are the wrong color and that we made to much money. I watched great players looked over for scholarships after they physically and mentally disassembled 4 and 5 star Rivals players for the last 4 year. Not mentioning any teams but, Recruiting needs to be more effective than sitting in a room with a rivals chart and trying to figure out how to get a top ten class. We are blessed to have had a great coaching staff see his talent. A really good coach from LSU actually made a call and that we will be forever thankful to Tiger nation #beblessed #Treelife Ps 1-3
