A VIP article was posted to Facebook from 247 and I couldn't read it, but it said that we now lead for him....is Marvin Wilson who the article is talking about?

Yes. He says he loves orgeron and lsu is number 1 for him. He has lot of family in louisiana and they are all pushing lsu. Usc is second. Shea cb' him to us too after talking with his sources.

The 16 and 17 DT classes are going to be absurdly good.

As long as Bebe is our DL coach, we are going to be good to go

The staff is already doing work on the 2017 class, I've seen several recruits list LSU as their top school.

DT - Marvin Wilson
DE - Chris Allen
RB - Clyde Edwards Helaire
DB - Daniel Wright

And are near the top for several big targets like Toneil Carter, Jacoby Stevens, Devonta Smith, Todd Harris, Andrian Ealy, Lowell Narcisse.

Can't wait for the July camp.

Allen and Edwards-Helaire could shut things down early too.

LSU has recruited at a high level under miles for just about his whole time here (except maybe 2012) but from 2014 until now and looking beyond to 2017 the staff has recruited at a level we haven't really seen yet. We have some bonafide studs on the roster and more on the way. The cupboard will be loaded more than it has during the miles era.

The leftovers from the 2011 class and the 2012 class as our upperclassmen last year weren't quite dominant LSU level but those types of players are there, they were just young. Anyone counting LSU out this year and beyond is sleeping. Quarterback or no quarterback. There's studs on this roster

Yep... And once it takes hold on the field which will be this year or by the end of this year for QB play this team is going to look very professional like on the field and I can't wait for Les to get his due for being such a classy head man. He's as balanced a head coach as I've ever seen and still wins lots of games on the field. I'll admit to bring frustrated as hell sometimes but it really isn't all him. Its the luck of the draw at QB that's been hard to watch but with Cam here that will come to an end and the rest of the team now with this new staff will be ready when that position takes hold. Can't wait to see it bc LSU and Les deserves it and he deserves the credit that isn't given to him. Go Tigers!!

And that class was very underrated in hindsight.

Awesome! I went to 247 2017 class and he was the first DT listed so I was assuming it was him but I wanted to ask here to be sure!

Kwon was the real prize. Vidal Alexander too. Mills, Hawkins, and Dural ended up being good diamond in the rough types. Other than that, sorry but meh. No disrespect to any of our guys. But that class doesn't have the horses like 2014 or even 2013 does

Championships are won in the trenches. We haven't been physical or providing much of a pass rush on DL since 2012. That changes this year IMO, and hopefully we can see what Valentine can do.

I'd take a class like 2012 anyday. It's a class that produces 7 + draft picks, 12 starters, and only a handful of bust that didn't contribute. You can't ask for much more than that.

Jeremy Hill - 2nd Round Draft Pick
Danielle Hunter - 3rd Round Draft Pick
Kwon Alexander - 4th Round Draft Pick
Vadal Alexander - Will Be a High Draft Pick
Jerald Hawkins - Will Be a High Draft Pick
Travin Dural - Will Be a High Draft Pick
Jalen Mills - Started as a Fresh/Soph
Dillon Gordon - 3rd year starting
Lamar Louis - Starter this year
Deion Jones - Starter this year
Fehoko Fanaika - was Solid Backup
Ronnie Fiest - backup
Corey Thompson - backup
Reid Ferguson - Been LS since he got here
Jamie Keehn - 2nd Year Starting
Dwayne Thomas - Meh
Avery Peterson - Meh
Lorenzo Phillips - At FSU now so obvious talented
Derrick Raymond - Bust
Derrick Edinburgh - Bust
Trey Granier - Bust
Jerquinick Sandolph - Bust
Kavarah Holmes - Bust
Jeremy Liggins - Bust

Toenail is a good one. I think big O gets him into the fold.

2012 is probably a better class than 2013, but star gazers still see rivals rankings (2012 was #18 and 2013 was #6) as the basis.
