I don't think so. I believe someone was killed on MS. Gulf Coast yesterday.

Believe the first official death was a guy in his truck and a tree fell on it. Not sure though.

My prayers are sent to the residents over there. Can't fathom going through that.

Sad to hear.

I fear there will be more, many more before it's all said and done.

That is awful. Must be a horrible way to die. Hope they didn't suffer for hours.

These people think a mandatory evacuation some kind of a joke? Then rescuers stick their necks out because some people dont fricking listen.

i don't think they thought it was a joke. i'm sure they, just like most of the state, didn't think it was as bad as it ended up being.

i'm not defending their actions, but I can see why they didn't leave.

I feel for them and their families

but it's time people started listening and getting out when they are told to do so. This "prediction" bs has gotten so out of hand that it cost these two their lives. Enough. NO ONE knows what these things will do- EVER

Sucks. Sounds like more than a few tried to ride it out.

They had some Brathwaite old couple on the news in Lafayette saying they stayed because they had nowhere to go. We know that is a lie.
