Need to replacement almost all the windows in my house. Probably about 15-18 windows. Maybe a couple doors.
I get flyers about Renewal by Anderson all the time. Anyone have experience with them? How was it? Any other recommendations?

Are you sure they need to be replaced?

If the frames are in good shape, I’d recommend trying to just reglaze them. It may not be an option depending on the frames, but def. worth looking into. Companies make more money selling you new retrofit windows so they may not be discussing the re-glazing option. It is far better to keep the home/building’s original frame, pull the seals off, pop the panes out and replace the panes with new seals. It’s a 3rd of the cost and you greatly reduce the chances of water intrusion.

Just from my experience over the last few months I’ll never deal with these guys. My house had window world windows put in before I bought it (2005ish). This year while doing a different project we discovered the hidden shoddy work. It ended up turning a $4 or $5k job into close to $20k. You get what you pay for.

Window World’s service was also trash for us. The whole process took around 4 months for 9 windows total, 9 different trips to the house to install, not counting 2 appointments they no-showed, of those 9 trips they’d mismeasured 5 of the windows and kept telling us they had the right ones ready to go, only to show up with the same 5 windows they’d hauled out 3-4 times before before finally reordering the correct windows. Keep in mind that each time they’d schedule an install day required taking time off of work, etc. Window World is shite.

We haven’t had the joy of dealing with new windows yet but they would be at the top of the list.

I’ve toured their factory in Iowa and impressed by the innovation and attention to quality. (granted I haven’t toured any other window factories lol).

Relief Windows on my “new” 100 year old house for all new windows, lifetime guarantee on any broken window or replacement.

For new inserts I used Clearview Glass in Denham Springs at my previous house. They matched the color and style just replaced the double pane unit inside the old frame.

Got a quote from Tommy’s at the old house, he only was doing all new window package installs. Saved myself about $2000 by just replacing the glass

Not suggesting Acadian is not a good company, but BBB ratings are useless. I've seen the BBB have "accredited" companies complaints listed under alternate company names. A large car dealership I had a problem with years ago had a clean BBB record. After checking up on my complaint months later, I found out it was listed, with others, under an alternate though related name; For instance "Rob's Appliances" complaints might be under "Rob's Appliance and Electrical Supplies".

I used capital glass to replace the 11 panes and kept my frames. They did a good job, I had a lot of trouble getting glass people out to my house but they were good.

How much per window to reglase? I had a dude power wash my house several years ago and he broke the seals on about 15 windows.
