Started with the Polaris water driven model about 10 years ago when pool was built. pretty much hated everything about it from day 1. Booster pump finally burnt 2 years ago and I never replaced it (capped those PVC pipes) and just been skimming/vacuuming manually. Read a post on here about the Nautilus CC Plus robot and I'm ready to push the buy now button.

give me some honest feedback about it.
I dont think I need the WiFi feature.
Think the Premier model is nice to scrub the waterline, but is $$$
Is the caddy a necessity, or just a nice addition?
I have nearby power outlet so should be simple.
thanks

I was in the same boat, Polaris keep breaking / pump going out and got the Nautilus CC Plus. It has been great so far, no complaints other than i should have gotten it sooner.

I got the caddy, its not a necessity but helpful in storing when not in use.

Very easy to clean.

I did not get the wifi one, didn't see the benefit over the added cost.

I’ve had mine for about 5 years now. It has been great. No major issues at all. I did replace the cord earlier this year because it wore out and quit working. It was a very simple DIY fix. I have recently had some issues with one of the tracks starting to slip, but again should be a very simple DIY fix. I do not have the Wi-Fi version or the Caddy, and have not wished I had either in the five years.

It is very easy to clean and to work on. It has tremendously cut down on the amount of scrubbing and vacuuming of the pool that I have to do.

Ordered mine March 2016. Still going strong. Only maintenance ever was putting a track back on pulley and cleaning hair off the propeller shaft occasionally. No caddy. Best decision ever for the pool. Keep power supply out of rain and direct sunlight.

I have the Nautilus Dolphin for a couple years now. No wifi and no caddy. Scrubs water line and completely gets every bit of debris on the pool floor. Worth every penny and ours stays in the pool most every day.

How does it do on steps/loveseats/shallow ledges?

Old school Polaris is getting long in the tooth and doesn't reach those areas at all.

TIA

Worth every penny. Impressive wall climb. Thing has gobbled up headbands, goggles, earrings, you name it. Had a track come off its wheels once, no big ordeal to reset it.

No caddy here. WiFi was nice when I was laying in bed and wanted to run it overnight, or from work when I knew I was going to want to get in. Phone now can’t link power supply, apparently a fairly common problem with the power supplies.

Easy to clean. Grab some fine particle filter replacements. Forget about any quick/temp fix pool patches - those are coming off.

We have pentair prowler 920. I didn’t opt for the Wi-Fi option. It has a sort of brain part that is bolted to the exterior of our house. Cord does run across pool deck and we rarely find the need to remove it from the pool. Maybe with a large group of people swimming. But typically we put it in a corner of the pool if desired. I don’t really see the point of a caddy and we run it every day in a program. The only problem we have had with it is the cord broke down over 1 year of use. The rubber got sticky and it could be the extreme heat we have had, but it was starting to mark the coping. I called pentair and they were very easy to work with and sent a replacement right away. It does a great job driving straight up walls and scrubbing above water line. The only limitation is it does not get up onto the tanning ledge. It did once or twice and got stuck in the shallow of the ledge and hasn’t gone back.
