Is this normal? Anybody else's already doing it?

My ginkgo tree is turning yellow and shedding leaves too. It can only be this endless rain. At least the cypress trees are happy.

Just moved into a house with 5 crepe myrtles. I think all of them are about to come down. They planted these things probably 6 inches from the house and they are all rubbing all over the sides and roof of the house. And I’m already sick of the flowers.

Mine is dumping leaves and flowers. However it does not appear bare at all. Aside from the stuff on the ground and in my pool you wouldn’t know it to look at the trees

I guess it depends on where you live.

For crap myrtles , yes. They are messy trees much like river birches, especially if you let the landscape gurus/professionals butcher them on an annual schedule.

I had almost 30 when I bought my house. Still have about 15 of them, and all of them are at least 10 years old, some 30.

I fricking hate crape myrtles.
There’s isn’t a tree out there that dumps more crap constantly. They are gutter, deck, courtyard, pool destroyers.

It’s a little early this year, but considering all the rain who knows what it should be.
The blooms, though , are spectacular this season. Like pink and red snow on the ground.
I appreciate all of God’s gifts.

It’s aphids and sooty mold not a fungus. Add in some powdery mildew, and weak arse branches from improper pruning and a weak arse plant to begin with from the nursery that want to produce a plant as cheaply and quickly as possible. What could go wrong?

Ours are 20 years old and I hate them with the fire of 10 suns. We have 5 as well and 3 of them are starting to rub the house/roof. I'm cutting 3 water oaks down later this year and hope I can convince the wife to get rid of all 5 as well.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with crape myrtle hate. I figure I'm about 2 yrs out from lighting the one in my front yard on fire.

I peel the bark off when they start. I like the reddish look and smoothness of the trunks.
