I've been considering getting a rowing machine for sometime . There are days it's just too darn hot outside to get out and run but I hate missing the scheduled exercise day . I already have a good treadmill but I absolutely hate running on it. It's like prison for my legs compared to being out on the street .

Is the concept 2 still the number 1 choice?

xebex is essentially the same. I have had both and now have the xebex only. The monitor and community along with the alogrithms for the C2 are much better. But the xebex is heavier duty with thicker steel.

Both are fantastic though. Rower, air bikes, and versaclimber are the best cardio machines by far imo.

I have a C2. Less than a year old and have over a million meters on it. I'm a converted runner. As stated there is a big community for it. The customer service is also top notch from what I see online.

I bought a C2 off Craigslist for $500. Definitely worth it!

I have 2 xebex rowers. They sometimes have specials where you can get free stuff with buying one. I paid 800 each for mine.

I dunno what my 2k time is. I would imagine under 7 as even when out of shape I can row a mile in under 6 pretty easily.
