Just ordered the Nuobell 5 to 80 adjustable dumbbells to replace my BowFlex 552s. Anyone have these yet?

Update: These things are great and super fast to change weight settings and feel more like a real dumbbell. Highly recommended if you don't have room for a full set of dumbbells.

The 552s held up for about 8 years now. If I get a decade out of the Nuobells, I'll consider it a win

They are awesome, I've had a pair for 3 months now. No idea how/why that design isn't being copied all over the place. Like all adjustable dumbells, don't drop them on the floor.

I love the speed at changing weights.

Awesome! Thanks for the feedback. I've never purposely dropped the 552s and hoping to do the same with these.

Did you buy the stand too? I was planning on making another one but with the price of lumber buying it might be cheaper

I didn't. I've never really felt the need to have a stand for any of the ones I've owned. If efficiency is an objective with weight training, these guys found the holy grail. It's seriously just you clicking sideways.

Gave them to my son already. But usually, the answer is yes.

That's not really a great update.

How do you like them?

Nice! I love mine and use the quick change to get to failure easily. It's awesome for that.

I was hesitant at first because most reviews mentioning the plastic pieces but after using them they seem they will hold up just fine. Plus I like the grip and knurling much better than the Bowflex. You really can't beat the quick change.

yea if you only need to go up to 80lbs they are hard to beat. All the advantages of powerblocks (even more so) with the look and feel of dumbbells like the ironmasters. To me they are the best of both worlds.

There was a time I would need 110lb dumbells but those days are long gone. 80lbs is just about perfect for me. I need to add barbells and if Nuobell ever makes one I'm in!
