Used to be in great shape. Haven't worked out in a while, but not a fatass. Usually have great gains after 3 months or so of working out (Not muscle memory, that I equate more with sports movements, more like I've been more muscular several times, quit working out, lose it, and regain it quickly). Looking to drop 10# of fat or so and regain my usual muscle from working out for a while. Should I adjust diet initially for fat loss, or regain muscle first the first few months before dropping calories to get somewhat cut?

Working out burns fat. Don't over think this stuff. Just eat healthy and exercise. Lift heavy, do some cardio, cut the sweets and carbonated drinks out, etc.

Best advice I can give you is go to avatar nutrition and pay the $10/month and track everything in my fitness pal trying to meet the macros avatar gives you.

For lifting, try greyskull lp, 531, or max ot. There is a thread on here about programs, read it, pick a program and then read what you can about it

Yep. Jumping back in you will gain muscle even in a small calorie deficit. You can go to a "cut" to start and be just fine though
