Meh I’m pretty open with personal info on here. If people want to know who I am it’s not hard to figure out

I mean, I'm the same way, this group I'm ok with knowing who I am. I post enough info about my runs for almost anyone with 30 seconds could figure out who I am.

I mean, I know who Aubie is just from his post about his races.

---------------------

So on topic a bit, I'm doing a full taper this time since I have no expectations, we shall see how I feel Saturday - 6 miles last Friday, 4 Miles Monday, and only 2 miles on Friday this week. I'll be VERY fresh

You just need a treadmill with a view. Gym at our new home in Bozeman. Bridger Mountains in the background are 10 min car ride away.

Nice!

One of the local Y's around here has a view of the St. Johns River. You can watch the boats go by and sometimes dolphins while you run. Def makes it easier.

Reverse Statue tonight with hill sprints. Basically just fartleks on the hills. 6 miles for beer and BBQ at Saw’s in Crestline.

btw, when we were doing the S2S2S we saw that smiley face at the bottom of Stone River and knew we would be going up it later and just had to chuckle about it

I tagged him and told him his artwork was getting appreciated

ETA: I train with him all the time, I run with him on my long runs probably 75% of the time, he's a great guy

Tracked

At this rate based on where I’m staying and the forecast for tomorrow I’m going to be happy if I make it to Sunday not being hit by a tornado.

ETA: going back to your first post on the page I think I may have hit the nail on the head with this taper but time will tell. Legs are feeling primed and ready.

10 miles this AM. 5 miles zone 2 @ a 12 min pace. 5 miles lactate threshold pace @ 10:40 min. Felt great.

I found a large water snake in the road in Homewood. It had been hit by a car and was struggling around in pain. Flagged down a landscaper truck and we took care of it. Weird way to end a run.

I threw up at mile 11 and it completely shot my plan... We were at 750ft elevation gain by mile 10 and it was 75 degrees, it was dumb but I finished.

4:13 and I had a group of 3 marathoners who were with me at the last that were all sub-3:30 runners... So I'm happy, just glad I was able to finish after a strange start

ETA: I also saw 2 people who had flatlined and were getting chest compressions... I will never run this full again.

What heck. That’s insane. I don’t mind some degree of difficulty to a marathon but it has to make sense. That seems like making it hellish just because

I ran with my friend cami and I run faster than she does (i'm still not fast mind you) but afterwards she was talking about how running downhill was hell on her knees and I said to her "I don't think we ran the same course bc it all seemed up hill to me"

This race is all about the Half, yes it's hilly but the downhills are great confidence boosters as well. Unfortunately they don't care about the full and it shows... This is a race that is supposed to have music every mile (or 2) we didn't have music from mile 11 to 17

The half is a net negative which is rare in the half world, so you are both kinda (?) right

I’m pissed. I trained way too fricking hard to run that horribly

Mil 16 on was straight hell. At mile 23 one of the aid stations said they could physically see my calves locking up
