If you take the right preworkout with enough tingle, you have no choice.

I also grab my fat randomly during the day and judge how much I jiggle on the stairs.

Once I get into a routine I don't need any motivation

I almost feel guilty if I don't workout

Being a fatass then getting into shape keeps me motivated. I am having my thyroid taken out Tuesday morning so hopefully my energy levels come back and I can get back to lifting with some energy.

I use this. It's $14.95 at Wal-Mart for 40 servings. They have fruit punch and pink lemonade. Both taste good. I mix the fruit punch with red Powerade and it's delicious.

Eta: Also, I like this because you can work off the tingly sensation and it doesn't linger after the workout. I can't stand to feel like I'm on speed when I'm finished with my workout.

Being everything from overweight to morbidly obese for the first 28 years of my life and knowing the work that I put into changing my body is usually what drives me.

Congrats and well said. Unfortunately I waited 37 years to get serious about it. Played around in my 20s, but never paid attention to diet and could never get in shape. I tell people all the time, unless you grew up overweight, you can't understand just how awful it can be.

Listen to motivators

Arnold Schwarzenegger - "Who do YOU want to be in life?"

Motivational Video & Speeches Compilation

There are tons of motivational videos, just go find the one that resonates with you most and listen to it all the time. Get it so your old negative energy isn't with you anymore. When the negative ways start seeping back in listen to it again. The only thing stopping you from greatness is yourself

People ask me all the time how I stay "disciplined" to work out the way I do and as often as I do. They seem to think I have found some Fountain of Youth or discovered inner peace and oneness.

The truth is I hate my body. I hate walking by a mirror.

Either look in the mirror or take a pre workout. Both will shoot my motivation through the roof

I think about it as part of a days work. Been hitting the gym for lunch for 25 years.
