What are your short or long term fitness goals?

Mine are mostly strength related
Pull 5 plates or 500 lbs really , squat 4, bench 3
I am within 50 lbs of each now

I'm 28 now so strength gives me no benefit. Strictly physique with strength as a side effect

I honestly do not have a goal anymore. I just want to enjoy my time in the gym.

I spent the majority of 12 years killing myself in the gym for powerlifting and strongman competitions.

Now, I'm ok not banging reps with crazy weight or eating to the point of being sick.

I just go do movements I enjoy with a decent weight and have fun.

General fitness and having a nice physique. I'm a naturally thin person so I'll never be a meat head.

Appearance Short term goal is to get down to 8% BF by second week of July. Got a plan just got to finish it off.

Health short term goal is to get hdl up a ton and ldl down quite a bit by end of September. Gonna do strict whole 30 with no fruit and added fish and krill oil after July vacation to make this happen.

Strength goals by next summer are
Squat-2xs BW
Press-200
Bench-1.5x BW
Dead-2.5x BW
Clean-1.5xBW

Also by the end of the year i would like to complete 3 of the greyskull villain challenges
100 burpees in 5 min
100 push-ups in 2 min
20 dead hang chin ups with BW+20lbs

I'm currently about 205lbs and about 15% BF
Bench 375
Squat 450
Deadlift 515

I want to be about 205lbs with about 8% BF and my 18" arms back!

Bench 435 (old max)
Squat 500
Deadlift 600+

Try to do a show next year or something.

Goal 1: Get into the 1,000lbs club
Goal 2: Get comfortable by getting down to a lean 205.
Goal 3: Become flexible enough that I don't have to use 10lb plates under my heels for squats.

I got down to 208 then blew back up to 220 after accepting carbs back into my life.

1. Win 3rd state show, get pro card
2. Come in dryer/harder than ever by August (haven't been able to top my 2008 look in dryness/hardness)
3. Break 1300 total in powerlifting
4. Maintain no higher than 15% BF in the offseason

From my experience. Getting to 1000 lbs is usually about your form over how strong you are.

I've improved mine quite a bit. I had 4 main stretches that helped the most.

or

Except on this one, keep heel down and take off shoes to get as flat as possible to stretch ankles.

I'm 40 and feel like training smarter in my late 30s allowed me to play as well as I ever have in sports (primary focus being basketball). Short term goals are to recover from a minor calf strain (which I've heard can linger) and play my best in our bball playoffs coming up in a few weeks. The best couple of teams have some guys much younger and athletic (big dunks in games) so it takes my absolute best just to compete.

Longer term goals are to stay healthy enough to play as many sports as I can into my 40s/50s/60s, such as tennis, volleyball, basketball (if possible), being able to sprint, etc. It's always a challenge with finding the balance between letting injuries heal but wanting to continue playing sports. Also need to focus on Achilles and ankle strength/flexibility after this injury recovers.

I am naturally strong, but I really don't care about that. I am trying to look the best I can. I clean and jerk around 255-265, so I'm not weak or anything like that.

I'm currently about 215-218lbs, and I am 6'2. I am looking to get to around 200 or so. I was 210 last summer and looked pretty ripped up. 200 would likely be perfect for me.

Other goals:

2k row in under 6:50 and keep getting better at rowing. Running a mile in under 6:45 would be nice as well, that is my best time.

I really want to get my 2k down to under 6:30 on the rower. But I aint running a damn mile unless I am being chased by a fricking dog Military ruined me on running.

When I am doing 250 m intervals, I can easily do a pace of around 1:25 per 500m. I just run out of gas on a 2k. 2k isn't very long, but it is long enough to where it gets tough. It is one of the best measures of endurance IMO.

A 6:30 2k and lower is fantastic. The average for the world on the concept2 site, for my age group (19-29) is 7:24

I rowed a half marathon, I believe it took me about 1 hr and 27 min. And I didn't stop once. Never will I do that bullshite again.
