Started playing 3 months ago. Have a PW and SW. Should I add a 56 58 or 60? TIA

What degree is your SW?

If you're a beginner, I suggest wide sole wedges. Look into older Taylormade ATV, Nike Engage (ebay), or Ping WS.

Voke's are solid, but wedge game takes alot of practice to get proficient and a little bit wider sole will help make you average outing into a favorable one without chunky chunks.

And for your actual questions - depends on what your PW and SW lies are. if 47, 56, you might do better going 54 and 58 to make caps more consistent.

I'm guessing your SW is a 56 and your PW is a 46. If so, a 50 gap wedge would probably be more beneficial than a 60+ lob. I got a 60 lob wedge because I had space for one more club and thought why not, but so far I'm hardly seeing any meaningful difference between it and my 56 SW.

I was so impressed with Vokey that I got a 48 degree to replace my PW - love vokey wedges

in my bag
SM5 56 degree
SM5 60 degree (rotates in and out depending on course)
SM6 48 degree

I have an old Cleveland 51 bent to 52 that I will never take out of the bag...but that wedge is coming up on 20 years old....just cant find the right replacement.

Keep learning young podowan, there are plenty of shots for a 58/60 out there on the green grass and a lot outside of it.

First find out the loft of your PW then fill in the gaps evenly. Mine goes 48 PW, 52GW, 56 SW, 60 LW

I actually have both.

PW - 46
GW - 50
SW - 54
LW - 58
LW2 - 60

It's overkill but I feel like it gives me easier/more options based on distances and green to work with inside of 80 and greenside bunkers.

If sand wedge is 56 which it probably is, I would go 52. If you just started playing I wouldn't buy a lobber and try to hit flops or anything at this point. Fill the gap in your bag and learn how to make crisp contact with those wedges before you start trying to hit different kinds of shots.

Don't trust what's printed in the club. Get your PW & SW lofts checked. Get another wedge in between.

My 52 was more like a 54 when checked.

Get you a 52 degree used Vokey off eBay. Done. I play Vokey 52,56,60. Also have a Mizuno 47 degree as PW.

Youre a believer as well. My one gripe with them is that they felt really light. Made distance control tricky. I am gaming the Nike Engage right now, and my wedge game is better than its ever been. Nike's last set of sticks was quite possibly the best line they've put out to date and they went under... They shouldve stopped after the sumo beer can if that was going to be the end result.

14.

Driver
3W
3H
5i-9i
Wedges
Putter

My 3W is 230
My 3H is 210
My 5i is 195

I have a 4i and 5W that I can put in play depending on the course and take out the 58. I play greystone a lot so there's really no need for those two clubs with the gaps I have now.

The 60 did help me today. Off the green on a par three, up hill and little green to work with. I hit my 60 as a normal pitch shot and it stuck next to the pin for a makeable par. I would have had to open the 56 or had it roll away from the pin for a much more difficult par put. I can open the 56, but hitting normal pitch shots is much easier to gauge.

SW typically starts at 56, so I'm assuming you have that? In that case grab a 52. Cleveland are great, that's what I play, but most people I play with prefer vokeys
